Really starting to like it especially after that promo video, the lines are great especially from the front, I like the stance as well. I wasn't liking the rear though so much but after looking at it more and more, I'm seeing some E46 in there, anyone else?

REALLY digging the design. New M3/4 should've leaned more in this direction.

No manual = boooooooooooo

Weight = holy shit, eat a salad

Color = 🔥🔥

If the new M2 doesn't come in 6MT, BMW is dead to me.

Front view is so bad and "derpy" it makes the G8X look good (maybe that was their intent). Headlights are straight up Kia/"cheap Audi". Side and three quarter views look great though.

Looks like a Z4 with back seats and a hard top, with the taillights of a Fiat 124, I like both of those cars, so that's not a bad thing.

You have got to be joking. There is a lot more joy looking at the F87 than this thing which looks like a Suzuki Vitara from the back and a forgettable front end at best.

The F87 looked wild. This thing, at best, looks mild.

The only saving grace here is the fact that it's not ugly like the G8x

I just realized that BMW could still do a massive grill for the M series just like they did for the M3/M4.

Is there a cloth interior option? With euro stage 7+ I guess this will be the last generation of ICE 2 series and straight six.

So I will forgive the weight gain and AWD, not excited about the taillights but aftermarket will fix that.

THAT PURPLE! plus powerdome and M mirrors are a yes from me, will probably be my next daily and keep the E46 M3 forever at this stage.

Have zero interest in F82/G82.

OMG the designer needs to just go shoot him self in the face. Whoever approved this, go home, ur drunk.

I mean BMW, seriously, what in the hell are u doin to urself? These design trends are steamrolling in the wrong direction … downhill, and fast.

I don't even care to look at the info sheet, I can't get my eyes past the front end once again

I think looks pretty good, but looked better in the leaked shots. I am not a fan of the back, front looks nice-ish but they really need to spice up the M2 or there won't be as many reasons to go to it over this.

I actually think this looks better than the current m240 but does not look as good as current M2comp, we will see how good the new m2 will look.

Enough with the complaining. You guys give an aspirin a headache.

BMW is continuing to produce a 6 cylinder turbo RWD coupe; which will probably start around ~$46-$47k.

At that price point, all your getting from the other German automakers is a 4 cylinder with front wheel biased AWD. Not to mention a 2 door coupe isn't even offered.

BMW Blog had a great recent article about this. Something about regulations in Europe (or US) where the manufacturer's curb weight (which is technically an estimate) has to include the most popular options of the previous generation. Like if 85% of people ordered steel brakes with their F80 build…then that info would be used to inform the G80's curb weight number …instead of using it's weight w/ Carbon Ceramics & other lightweight goodies.

With that said, I have no fucking idea why this car is estimated to weigh so goddamn much.

I think he meant dual halo rings. The new Z4 does have dual halos stacked vertically with the upper one being smaller. The new 2 series is the only modern BMW with a single halo ring.
