He will be greatly missed. Always treated me like a friend, even though we had never met. His graciousness will be greatly missed - even more than the fabulous museum tours.

Such terrible news indeed. Thanks to the OP for posting and informing us that we're previously unaware. The forum is now less informative as a result of this tremendous loss.
Rest peacefully Dackleone and my most sincere condolences go out to his family. His posts will be greatly missed in the future but live on forever here. |

Oh man. That is sad. I always wanted to go to Germany and visit all those fascinating places he photographed and to meet him. RIP.

Damn this is really sad news, RIP
A big loss for this community! David was a HUGE contribution to my Euro delivery trip last year, I honestly could have not done it without him. He spent hours looking though my routes and always suggesting something better, and I was able to discover some amazing places that I and my wife, will remember for the rest of our lives, all thanks to David! Again, may this great man Rest In Peace |

Very sad to hear this. Never met him, but felt like I knew him. He made you feel that way. Always helpful. Always giving. He loved his 135i. Loved to talk about it. Will surely miss him here. This place will never be the same without him. Best wishes to his family. Rest in peace, David.

The Myth, the Legend, the Man
David had a unique style, was a loving friend, a brain full of encyclopedic car facts, could criticize without criticizing, took thousands of photos and posted them ALL ;-), knew the front roads and back roads of the Alps like no other, had a gentle humor and wit, gave presents without asking or taking anything in return.... David Jalali's passing leaves a huge hole in my heart and I'm sure hundreds if not thousands of enthusiasts will miss him! R.I.P. my friend.... Here are some photos from Welt 3.0, Stelvio 2.0, 2016 Dolomite's pre-tour, and 2017 Dolomite's tour. More photos to follow.
