And from app description "G42" was removed.

So is the update for iDrive8 or not??

I was able to program off the Auto Start/Stop setting in my G42 using Bimmercode. However, you don't need to push the button to turn it "off" after coding. Therefore, the light will not be on at any time as that function is always turned off. BTW, I just did the 07/22 software update via the My BMW app yesterday and it removed all of my Bimmercode changes. So now I tried to go back to set them up again, after updating the Bimmercode app and it will no longer connect with my (old) Vgate Wifi OBD adapter. I have used this adapter for a number of years with other BMW's and even used it with my new G42, but I guess the update on the Bimmercode app killed that. I also noticed that the VGate adapter is no longer listed among the supported adapters on Bimmercode. Guess I will have to get a new one.

1. Can anyone confirm how their auto start/stop disabled is functioning? Is it suppose to be OFF even though the light for it is switched off, meaning it is enabled? I have disabled the functionality of auto start/stop in Bimmercode. Just switching the memory to ON for me did not work.

2. I tried enabling sporty mode but not sure if it is actually working, I followed these steps posted in page 5:

Bimmercode does not support ID8. Therefore you shouldn’t be making any changes using it. That is why things aren’t working properly for you. You actually risk screwing things up.

You’re using BimmerCode from what car setting? It is not cleared / approved for ID8 yet, and you are running a high risk of bricking your car!

Uh oh, I thought people were coding with ID8. I won't fiddle with it anymore and consider myself lucky, I got the seatbelt chime off among some other small things on my first go around.

Have you considered the xHP Flashtool for your transmission? Not only does it make many nice tweaks to the performance of your transmission, but it also disables auto start/stop. I do not believe you having iD8 makes any difference in this regard.

I have not but I will look into it. Thank you. Do you happen to have the sporty exhaust coded in? Wondering if I'm missing out on much here. To my understanding it'll sound like sport mode is on at all times.

I used BimmerCode to always start my car in Sport Individual, so whatever the sportiest exhaust option available is what I have activated. Your best bet for a little more noise...and performance...is an Active Autowerks downpipe.
