Just turned 60, we retired 5 years ago, zero debt for about a decade. Pretty relaxing. I drive school bus for the benefits and I’m having a blast.
The M2 is a perfect GT car for my wife and me. We’ll do long weekends golfing and shooting and an annual trip to LA to see son1 and GF. I’ll also enjoy letting my sons use the car whenever they like, our love of cars is a fun bond.
I absolutely can’t wait to hit the LA canyons (summer ‘25)

37 - just sold my A90 supra for this M2 (should be here in ~2 weeks), Happy to get back in a manual car. I'm also a child at heart. My coworker was over for Friendsgiving last weekend for the first time and saw my lego F1 car hanging on the wall and was like, "You really are a big kid, aren't you" (in a good way)...Yes, yes I am.

Not quite as old as you but I started with a green Malibu with black vinyl top….38 cars later I have a nice assortment of vehicles to include the M2. Will probably downsize to reduce tax burden as I get closer to retirement but enjoying the M2.

Man that's funny. I had a '17 330i I sold and bought the '22 M240i, which I traded for my '23 M2. Took my a lot longer though. Bought the 3 series at 30, the M240 at 31, and the M2 at 33.

Ordered at 27 and took delivery at 28.

Was initially going to make a modest upgrade from the 135i to the 235i, but when I started hearing rumors about the G87 and watched YouTube videos of the prototypes, I knew it would be worth it to hold out.

A modest house here in the Bay Area goes for $1.5M and interest rates are cost prohibitive, so F it, might as well just buy a new car to keep me busy while I save for the house!

Think I might be the youngest here, but im 20. Got cancer earlier this year and dreamed of this car since I was in the hospital. Later was thankful from my parents to get me one. Should be getting it end of this month.
