Watch out my guy, you’ve just added yourself to the “virtually no one” list!

I dabble in the F87, F80/82 forums as well and read the negativity all too often Careful, a couple of these guys/gals are making their way through a few of the G87 threads now bashing the new model. I heard they got sucked in by the home page and just wanted to make a simple comment... but have now taken the time to post in multiple threads...
Maybe it's a way to compensate for something? (I'm grasping at straws here, I don't get it) .... defend what you own/like and put down others??? It happens with each update and generation evolution.
Yes, the M2 and Comp are gorgeous! 95% of us probably agree on that. If we want one (which I do) we can go out and spend 45-55k and have one. Luckily, car dealers update cars every few years so that we are not all driving matching rides. I am top 2-3 on my dealers list for the G87 as built 77k, but am currently looking for a M2/Comp to hold me over. If I find the right CS, I will cancel my G87. I have no bias either way. Much love for the F87 and think the G87 could be awesome as well (all be it for different reasons). Let's complain to bmw about F87 m buttons and adaptive suspension, and G87 color options. Whining back and forth on here won't do much for anyone.
Keep it up and I will abandon ship and go get that over-priced GT4.
xoxo

Really not a fan of G87 design when I saw the photos every time. Disappointed! it may be the worst design which the BMW ever made. Let's see the sale number in the coming two years.

Its rather amazing that many feel the car should be designed only for them and their taste lol. Such variability in a human being in taste. One design has never pleased all.

If you need your own custom design they can be found. Ferrari and others like Zonda will make your own design to your taste so Frank can be pleased...........or not LOL!

Former F87 owner who loved the machine. New one is exciting and refreshing. Who wants the same car over and over and over eh? Often comments are changed after actually seeing the car and DRIVING it. This level of complaint and literal hysteria is normal. Cars are emotional connections. Those not liking it need to SEE it and then DRIVE it. Those few on the 'fence' will then become such fans normally LOL!!!!!!!!!!

For me the ugly car pictured in this thread is the new 3.0csl, I honestly think that thing looks like absolute shit.🤮
I’m looking forward to seeing heavily modded G87’s on here & in person once the aftermarket tuners get into gear.

Despite what Ive said, I'll hold final judgement till I see it in the flesh. It might wow me yet. I honestly hope so. Having owned and loved BMWs since 1999, nothing would make me happier.

This might be the first non-official BMW video we've seen with the car actually in motion. Hopefully more on the way.

I don't get second-degree jokes sometimes

No, the video is not CGI but heavily edited yes

The cars will stay in Luxembourg until 4 Febuary I think
We will have a big "ending" night with all the cars and a special exhibition of the new 3.0 CSL next to the Frank Stella BMW 3.0 CSL from 1976 !

I was actually serious but just watched it again and take that back. I think what happened was the video didn't automatically switch to HD (YouTube sucks like that sometimes) and it must have been playing at 480p or something which threw me off. Looks good in that video.

But the video also uses footage interchangeably from two different cars. It's weird at best.

Edit: Never mind, wheels looked black at certain angles.

You're not wrong. This might be the car that was being shown in Brussels. It has 1000M gold bronze wheels on the drivers side and black 1000M wheels on the passenger showcasing both colors.

I though the same but eventually found out it's actually worse in the flesh than in the pics. Some rear and front pics taken close to the ground are good. But when you are standing near the car your view angle is quite different and then IMO the rear especially looks terrible. Very aggressive design but not flowing.
If you like the E36 design I think it is very difficult to be attracted by the G87. IMO only the E46 M3 design was able to combine purity and (some ) aggressivity.
