Full Zunsport front grille set and oil cooler protection all arrived today! I got black mesh. All looks good. Metal yes, but pretty light in weight. Should be strong enough for a rock and definitely stronger than plastic.

I just unpacked my Zunsport screens. I got the front and side sets. They also gave me a membership card which will allow my friends to buy Zunsport products with a 15% discount. Just order with my member ID.

You are all my friends and we help each other out, so here you go!

I have my parts installed. I have mixed feelings. I'm upset I even had to spend money on this. I think they look absolutely silly. But there's no doubt they will do the job. If anything gets through these grills then it would do damage to any vehicle.

Honestly, I like the looks of the plastic RGS grill better, even with the zip ties. But I couldn't have mixed materials. That would look worse.

The only saving grace is that you can't see them on an Oregon overcast day 20 feet away.

Thanks for sharing the pics. How do you think it would look on a black car? Would you buy again?

The looks are completely subjective so I can't really help you there. I would buy them again though. You need the protection.

I think they look good. Have Zunsports on my other cars. Need protection from all the road debris in these parts.

I’ll put mine on soon….then I can break her in something fierce

I actually don’t think they look all that bad at all!! But I do think a hexagonal pattern like the RGS ones may have looked a tad better

Not bad looking. I wish it was behind the center canted elements. I may consider this.

I'm on the fence.. I like the open look and might just risk it. Since these couple posts about damage over the summer I haven't seen a lot more people chiming in that they're getting major road damage to the radiator.

Until they do. RX7 suffered 1 and he receives discount from his job at the dealer. Not all are so lucky and he suffered no motor damage. This is 'cheap insurance' and yes it might not be so sexy for an M-car. Neither is suffering on the side of the motorway or night on a small road waiting for help. My order is on the way per Zunsport yesterday.

I will put them on. High speed fun and driving on the Autobahn even with a small stone can be devastating for these not so strong radiators. Its just really idiotic of BMW and Porsche actually, to not account for this. Id pay more for a factory solution that is installed AT THE FACTORY!

Hexagonal is what the F82 has, but it had large enough openings to still let some debris through, and wasn't easily removable to clean out. The Zundsport may minimize what gets through.
