Well just jumped to In-Transit over night. Going to port of Baltimore then do dealership in Chicagoland. How long does this process usually take, looks like wasn’t lucky enough to dodge the tariffs .

My car has been showing “At the port” status since March 2nd. It arrived on the Liberty at Port Galveston.
Hoping I managed to sneak in just ahead of the tariffs. |

I'm just hoping they can't enact anything this fast and we will somehow sneak through. |

i can relate to the 5 weeks. it appears to be all about the timing of end of production with the kinda monthly sked of ships to various ports. your car must have just missed the last boat to brunswick.

My car left Altamira on a boat to Brunswick on the 24th. I was RFT since 2/6. If he was already RFT before me then he got screwed. Not cool at all, if that’s the case. Somehow I wonder how half assed the process is and if cars are actually slipping through the cracks and getting left behind when they should be getting on a ship.

Well see. I called the genius number and they said that it will start production the 13th week of 2025. Not sure how long it will take once it starts production.

Does anyone know if Canada cars get shipped by boat as well, or train? Seeing differing stuff when searching the forums.
Ordered the G87 on Jan 7th and it just shifted from Ready to Transport to “Dispatched from Factory after a week waiting. |

My order is moving along. BMW Genius told me it's scheduled for production in Week 14, 31 March - 04 April. The website hasn't updated status yet.

Probably by boat first until it hits Canada, then by train or truck to wherever you live in Canada. I think it heavily depends on where in Canada you live.

...finally got an update...my car left the Vera Cruz port this monday on the Grand Mercury...it is supposed to be in Tampa on Friday...then it will be on its way to the Performance Center for delivery!
The irony is that it gets delivered to the Port in Tampa...then i pick it up in south carolina...only for me to drive it back where it came in...lol...so excite! |

Anybody on the west coast have any news? I’ve been ready for transport since 2/7 and seems like only east coast cars are moving. Ready to get off this roller coaster of tariffs and patience.

Do you know it is getting unloaded in Tampa? I know the ship is going there, but did not think BMW had a VPC there. Other manufacturers do. next stop is the VPC in Baltimore i believe. |

Called Genius this morning and my car has completed the VPC process and should be transported to dealer on Saturday. I should be able to pick it up next week I imagine.
The roller coaster ride is finally over! |

West Coast ship JUST left on 2/27. If you weren't on it you have a bit more waiting ahead of you. West coast cars come on ships that start with GLOVIS or end with LEADER. Look at the port in mexico and see if any ships with those names are scheduled to arrive soon.
