I was surprised when I walked in randomly and they didnt have a waitlist and an available allocation, I imediately put a deposit down spec’d out what I want and was on my way. 3 days later I got the call they cannot do carbon and asking what I wanted to do.

Msrp, two NY dealers wanted 2500 or 5000 this dealer on border of NY in Jersey didn’t have an adm and they had an allocation available.

Do you think the CA wants to do this, or is the one making this call? Your CA only wants to sell a car. Nothing more. If this is the rule, then it is coming from higher than the CA. This is management trying to get their CAs to stop putting flakes in the order bank.

What I think is the CA is trying to be a prick or is a prick or is on a power trip. Look, if he moves the guy back one spot, nobody else in line gets hurt. Third place, fourth place, etc. aren’t affected only the first 2. The guy in second receives an allocation and our guy moves back a slot. If the waiting list is 50, the CA is going to sell every car regardless of who moves back 1 or 2 slots; there are not enough “flakes” for management to worry about. You’re way off.

There is no benefit to the CA being a prick. If the waiting list is 50 the CA will not sell every car. There are 10-20 other CAs selling those cars, and no CA wants to lose their place in line. That I can promise you. There is no benefit in a CA making up such a rule, but there could be for management.

I don't agree with the rule, and my dealership doesn't do it this way, but I am definitely not way off.

No need, they should have a BMW Center. I drove by Park Ave BMW last night heading to the Lodi Tesla charger, it looks like a smaller operation. Frankly, I’m not familiar with any of the NJ stores. From what I’ve seen on here many are ADM happy.

I deal with Park Ave. I’ve purchased and ordered two individual m3s and now my m2. Ask for Aimon if anyone needs a allocation.

G87 allocations for the most part tend to be sporadic so there is no guarantee that your center will get one come January 2024. Furthermore, a lot in life can happened between now and August 2024 while waiting for MY25 production to begin. Curious, do you think BMW got more orders for the Carbon Pack than they were expecting or is it purely a Production issue. I’ve never followed the Trails & Tribulations on the other M forums, is this a commonly reoccurring issue?

Well done BMW, got a lot of customers pushed into ‘24s while apparent backlog has eased at SLP. According to GregW / Oregon’s research they appear to be pushing out G87s a lot faster now, no clue regarding other models.

They may be pushing the production of the M2 through but they are still backlogged/jammed in terms of delivery (whether its the strut tower issue or timing with number of cars to ships, who knows). Remember, its not just M2s being shipped and all models could be affected by the strut tower issue.
