I miss playing World of Tanks but since it is a Russian game, I've quit it. Back to GTA5 for now but my go to is a simulator called DCS> its expensive to be played well but worth every penny of my 1000 dollars in equipment....so far.

Played both Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal for many, many hours. Doom Eternal is an entirely different ballgame. I have a friend who could barely pass the first level in 2016 on the lowest difficulty. I told him not to even try Eternal until he masters 2016, but even then, he's in for a rude awakening, especially with the DLC campaign.

I play a lot of FPS games of old and new: Quake II RTX and other versions of Quake, all the flavors of OG 1993 Doom/Doom2 (using ZDoom and neural upscale technologies), Warzone, Borderlands, Metro series. Many of the Resident Evil games, Gears of War, Dying Light. Strategy games like Starcraft and RPG games like Diablo and Final Fantasy. I have yet to play Elden Ring, but I loved Demon's Souls (PS5) remake and played many hours of Dark Souls 3 on PC, so should be right up my alley.

I highly, highly recommend Returnal for PS5. Difficult at first, but it gets a little easier as you level up and retain items.

My anticipated upcoming games are: God of War Ragnarok (PS5), Callisto Protocol, and the Dead Space Remake. I think there are some others that I'm forgettng.

I downloaded Elite Dangerous last night. Played the intro training bit and it looks like it's going to be fun. Then I spent an hour trying to get VR to work correctly, it wouldn't give me keyboard and mouse control in VR. Finally figured it out right before bed, but spent a few minutes flying around a space station. Pretty sweet!

Now I need to invest in a good HOTAS setup.

Would recommend TM Warthog HOTAS, top notch but pricey.
Lower segment x56 or TM-16000 would do also.

DCS is amazing. You need to be patient with it, but its super rewarding to learn how to fly and operate those aircraft. I fly the f/a-18 and there always something new to figure out (new radar, new weapons, etc), so it doesn't get boring. Plus the ability to create custom multi-player missions is a huge value add!

My buddies and I recently got back in to Destiny 2 after they screwed up COD Warzone(at least to us its a mess). I still dabble in Ride 4, Forza 7(while I wait for the next one). Have a gaming laptop and I'm looking into eventually gaming on it.

I've been playing a modified version of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This game is HARD lol. I like me some Demon's Souls/Dark Souls but geez is it difficult. The modified part is just so I can run higher resolution and framerate, because who plays at just 16:9 or just 60hz anymore?

Does unlocking the frame rate change difficulty / break the game? I know stuff like RE2 remake, the frame rate directly effects the damage of your knife. You can 3 hit the first boss at like 200fps.

Framerate doesn't appear to impact the game at all which is awesome. I'm able to enjoy it at 21:9 and max frame rates. It's great. From Software games typically have a 60fps cap. I also modified Dark Souls 3 to run with an uncapped framerate without issues.

I'm super stoked for God of War:Ragnarok, Callisto Protocol, Dead Space Remake, and I'll replay The Last of Us Part 1 (although that $70 price tag does bother me), and upcoming Diablo 4.

Im not a fan of consoles, they had ruined some very popular PC games caused by enabling crossplay and mixed experiences, biggest bs ever!
