Order status and timeline

For those that placed your order for a MY 2022, but are now getting bumped to a MY 2023, is your CA honoring the MY 2022 pricing?

MRSP for a MY 2023 M240i XDrive is $1,350 more than a MY 2022. (230i RWD is +$1,050 for 2023 over 2022.)

The Fed increased rates by 75 basis points this week and will likely increase them again in July and September.

A $1,350 cost increase on top of a finance rate of an additional 1.5%-2.0% increase by the time I can take ownership makes a difference.

I'm curious to hear what everyone is doing with their orders.

I applied for BMW financing in January when I put my deposit on the car and the rate was 1.9%. I hope they honor that rate when I start doing my paperwork...

Yeah, Ill be furious if I lose ZTK, likely will cancel. You'd think once they move you to the production queue, they would have the parts allocated for your build.

You'd think when we were in 112 they'd have updated us. I'm 153, so the car is painted and on the assembly line.

Hoping for an update today.

Do ships bound to port hueneme leave Veracruz? Anyone know average travel time on that one? Done some googling on my own and came up empty of ideas.

My dealer is still honoring the 2022 pricing.

I've also got the ZTK package as well. I only added the package when I was pushed out for the 2nd time. I was week 8, 14 then 23. After week 14, I asked my CA to add that package and my build started at week 23.

I'm sitting at QC now though for about a week. Maybe it is the wheels and they got some other wheels on the car until the get them in? My CA said the car was done and wasnt updated, sometimes he see's the car in QC then itll just show up at the port.

I did the same, except in April right before things got bad. Not sure how long the rate lock works, but they did tell me it would lock in the rate. At order time, they knew the situation (order was going to take 4-5 months), so I'm assuming the rate is locked.

I am in a very similar situation. My production was 6/9, and now my status stays in QC for a week already. The difference is I added almost all options but no ZTK package.

Dumb question but anyone that ordered red calipers, did it show up anywhere on bmwgarage at all? The image I see has the blue, and I don't see it listed anywhere within the site. The options/build sheet I got from the lady that sold me the car mentions it.

Yes mine shows M sport brakes with Red calipers. I believe it also showed before I got a VIN as well.

Damn guess I need to contact my dealer about it. The image shows the blue calipers and I don't see any mention under any of the options on there.

Same. I did contact my CA about it to verify and have not heard back from him yet. I see for my car with the "M Sport Package Pro" it has red calipers as part of the option but I thought you could still keep the blue as standard. Something I plan on finding out as I definitely want the blue.

I ordered red and my photo displays the same, but it didn't show up in my Other options so just to make sure I asked my CA and he sent me the below.

Yes, definitely ask if your picture displays something other than what you ordered.

You don't want to be 'that guy' that gets the exact opposite of what you ordered.

That package wasn't even an option for me when I ordered, mind sharing what all it included?

I had the option for shadowline and red calipers but wasn't bundled together. It seems really odd how BMW did these packages, I don't know how many I've come across that I didn't have the option for.

The red msport calipers were available to select at no additional cost for me.

They were for me as well when I spec'd a 2022 car. My order is for a 2023 so maybe something changed for this year?

Interesting ok, believe I'm one of the last 2022's here. Move to in production yesterday but date still shows 29 June...Hopefully we get the cars we ordered!!!!

Ordered mine on April 21 and have the same status as you. And I do not have the ZTK package.

I’m actually looking forward to getting a 2023. I will change to RWD and also be getting better technology and repackaged options
