yeap, i feel you. when i first saw the vents open, i was kind of taken aback by how bare and unfinished it seemed. the thought of taking part of the bumper off helped me procrastinate on doing this but it was one of the simplest diys ive ever done.

Just don't like the way the unfinished aluminum looks when the vents open.

Geez it was way easier in an F30. I popped off the kidney grilles and went in that way with wrap on that car. Lots of steps in this one but it looks nice.

Yes definitely but its no where near the improvement the springs give, as i did those first i can remember the wow factor afterwards, with these it feels better rather than wow if you get my meaning, so dont look for leaps and bounds improvements, i did it purely for looks

Just got home from 4 days in CO for a friend's wedding and am heading out to Indianapolis tomorrow for a few days for work and it's blazing hot here in TX, but I wanted to install the Eventuri intake and Tuxmats that came in while we were in CO...

I really enjoy the increased noise (especially the turbo flutter, which was not noticeable at all with the stock intake) with the Eventuri intake. Yes it's quite expensive, but it's also the nicest looking intake on the market, IMO and I enjoy the bling factor.

The fitment of the Tuxmats are pretty good, coverage is great and they look really nice. I need to spend some more time tucking the mats in the rear when it's not over 100 degrees outside.

Dinan CAI

[QUOTE=Coconut;29759933]Installed the Dinan intake. Quality is exceptional and it was a really enjoyable install. I love being able to now hear the turbo spool and wastegate.

Is there a difference between the carbon fiber dinan CAI and te plastic one in terms of sound and performance?

Thanks. I have seen this. I was wondering if you had done something differently. I have not used the coding products, yet.

I bought the carbon fiber Dinan CAI just a few weeks before they released the plastic version. There is no difference between the two versions other than the material they're made of.

No difference in sound or performance. The design of the tube and airbox is the same for both version.

I didn’t come across similar mount that will fit RHD. But you can check an alternative option:

https://www.rennline.com/bmw-g80-g20...e-sku-PM01.81-

I was considering this as a base along the Spigen magsafe mount. but this was too expensive for what it is and I preferred the location of the other one as well.

Hope this helps

Today, I ordered a gloss black spoiler from AutoID. Wish I would have waited until it was back in stock when I got my side skirts and front splitter from them, could have saved on shipping.

So now that I've owned the car for a few months, I'm kind of missing the padded knee rests that I put in my M340i. I had the alcantara ones previously and while they are better than the plastic, I didn't find them very soft and they are quite bulky which is why I didn't take them out before selling it. I'd really like to get the padded leather ones from the G8X cars and install them, and it sounds like people have done that (at least on the G2X cars). Has anyone here ordered these and put them in their G42? The part numbers I'm finding are 51169502525 and 51169502519.

You're talking about the alcantara ones though, right? This is from my old M340i:

I'm looking for leather ones like these:

You removed the leather ones and replaced them with the alcantara? Any preference on comfort? The ones from the factory in the US are just hard plastic.

Not for comfort I wanted them to match the seat backs and arm rest, although I think the Alcantara is a little more softer the leather are still comfortable
