I'll let you borrow one of my horses. They are lovable.
I am super allergic to horses. I would've been a terrible cowboy.

You would do well with a curly haired horse. Most non-horse people are unaware that these horses exist AND they are hypoallergenic.

Unfortunately, all of mine are straight haired horses, but look into the curlies!

Poodles are supposed to be very smart dogs, so I wonder, are poodle horses (curly haired horses) smarter than the average horse?

Really enjoying seeing everyone's pets. Here's my buddy Beck:

Beck started his life in Houston as a stray. A woman found him and two siblings running around in a shopping mall parking lot. The animals were very underweight and mangy. She quickly determined that the animals were very friendly and was able to get all three in her van. Her brother-in-law owned a vet clinic. She took the dogs to the clinic and asked if they could help. The vet clinic nursed all three dogs back to health. They guessed that the animals were around 6 months old. After 6 weeks at the vet clinic, the people there became very fond of the dogs and wanted to try to get them into good homes. They reached out to rescue organizations. One dog was adopted in Houston. The other two were sent to Colorado to Mile High Lab Mission. The girl was adopted right away. Beck was put on the website where my wife found him. When we went to see him for the first time, we understood why it didn't take long to realize these were friendly animals. He was in the foster family's back yard when we arrived and when we walked out there and he saw us for the first time, he leapt on us like we were long lost family! I was like, uh......this is the friendliest darn dog I've ever seen. We got him in Aug 2019. He was 46 lbs and still really skinny when we adopted him. He has since filled out to a strapping 65 lbs. This guy is always ready for action.

No one can figure exactly what breed he his. The best guess is that he is some kind of hound, perhaps a coonhound, maybe mixed with a bit of lab. He barks like a hound, has hound ears, holds his tail like a hound, is ruled by his nose, and from what I've read about hounds, he has a hound personality.

Anyway, he's a great buddy----by far the friendliest dog I've ever had. Loves everyone. And boy does he love the snow.

Me and my buddy hiking in Breckenridge on New Years Eve:

He's a goofball. Loves to play catch and pounce all by himself:

Just an observation; the fact that this thread is only rated 3 stars is unacceptable.

Who doesn't love animals? Reveal yourselves.

I've always wondered this, why is it bad to pet a service dog?

I think it is to lessen distractions to the working dog, so it can do a better job helping the hominid.

The dog in my pic isn't a service dog, but wears the warning at the dog park for 'other' reasons!

Is he aggressive? Or you just don't want strangers touching him?

I have one horse like this. She's nasty as can be, but a complete stunner in the show ring. She and I have had it out before in her stall. She pins her ears and will bare her teeth at my friends if they stop and stand in front of her stall.

That and the 17 guns in this house. I feel bad for anyone who would attempt to rob this house. If you get past the dogs, the next thing you'll see is a red dot.

He isn't mine, but yes, he doesn't like unsolicited touching!
I respectfully ask him, and he is fine with that approach.

Which would trigger my wife's OCD psycho dog to start his ear-piercing barking and chase the red dot all over the house thinking that it was a critter.....
