I just called genius

It’s on the RCC Amsterdam and arrives 7/7 in NJ as someone previously said. How long to get from there to the dealer and ready for pick up lol

I’m in the middle of a lease transfer on my truck and I’m scrambling 🤣

I heard once it gets to Baltimore it needs to go thru another QC and then from there it'll be on its way.

Does anyone know how Southern California dealerships receive their cars? Like do the ships drop off on the east coast and then the cars are transported by truck to the west coast? Or do the ships go around to the west coast?

Should train to port lazaro cardenas. Then ship to port hueneme in Oxnard.

Hmm so maybe that will buy me a few more days. We just signed the stage 2 docs on the transfer,so I should be good. I thought I wasn’t getting the car till the Mid-End of July.

Do you know of a way to see boats scheduled to make that journey? My car has been "ready for transit" two weeks now and Im wondering if there's a way to speculate which boat it could go on. Thinking it MAY be the MAERSK NORTHAMPTON set to depart the 27th but I have no idea what Im doing lol

This is something I've been trying to figure out myself. But after doing some research it seems like vehicles are shipped out once or twice a month. East bound vehicles just had a boat take off couple days ago so it'll be another 2-4 weeks until another boat arrives. I believe West bound vehicles like myself had a boat take off on the 19th so it won't be til the middle of July where another boat arrives. Sucks because my car just completed on the 20th and I missed it by a day.

If it makes you feel better I dont think you missed it by only a day. Ive been ready for transport for two weeks and production was completed a little over a month ago.

My guess is that there a lot more vehicles being produced for the East coast rather than the West. Once BMW produces more vehicles that are West bound (this includes the 3 series as well) we should be good to go. These boats need to be completely filled for efficiency.

I moved to final assembly today! Production date pushed again to 6/22. Looks like my car is almost done!

Just found this. There's a ship coming in on July 17th to Port Lazaro Cardenas estimated to arrive at Hueneme on July 23rd. According to this there was a ship that just left on the 19th so I was correct. FML...so close yet so far...

Keep checking! I was in QC for about 24 hours and went to Final Assembly this morning.

Week 24 checking in. Car entered production on the 7th, in previous times that I have called I was given a prod. date of the 16th that was then pushed to the 23rd last time I heard. Called today (for the first time in maybe a week) and was told they have no information beyond the car entering production on the 7th.

Even when I asked about the production date they said there was nothing else on their end to report. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

Lucky, still sitting in Production started over here, with a 6/28 build date, so hopefully soon

CA told me today the MY 2023 G42 will start production in Mexico on July 22nd as the plant ends their MY 2022 run.

(Of course this isn't verified, just sharing what I was told.)

I had to sign a new sales contract. The changes (MY2023) were listed in the configuration. E.g. the curved display etc. as well as the new prices. MY2023 is a little cheaper than MY2022 with my chosen equipment.

@meyer1son has a MY2023 that began production over in the 2023 thread.

Well my status just changed to at the port. Called genius and they said mine was actually on a boat two days ago, aboard the Heritage Leader! So excited this is great news for me. Hope you get good news too.
