Could anyone tell me if the composite band on the casio gshock ga1000fc-1a is worth the extra $70 or if I should just get the ga1000-1a?

This is what I have for now; I actually inherited this from my dad who passed away almost 3 months ago. I used to have a Seiko chronometer but I have NO clue WTF happened to it, as well as a casual-wear Casio Wave Ceptor but that ran out of batteries and I keep forgetting to get it replaced. Oh and yes, I'm a lefty and prefer watches on my right hand.

just picked up a Breitling Bentley Barnato Racing edition Watch, with the white face on stainless (fiancee just recently bought me the black breitling croco band as well).

Has anyone ever bought watches from online stores that do not have a brick and mortar building. I have heard that if you are not buying from an authorized retailer, and most on line places are not as brands will not give them that status, that most are fakes. This guy was telling me that the watches look great but once it is taken to a authorized dealer for inspection they have fake movements. To the normal person you would never know. Thoughts? What about this place, www.authenticwatches.com
