It is unusual that they are using a “M2G7” model code, as the 2023-4 models in the UK were 12DM, normally the model itself doesn’t appear in the code, unless this is a 2025 change, or unless BMW UK is just doing their own thing that is not aligned with corporate nomenclature.

I agree on the steering wheel and color options!

The 930M wheels are the same heavy cast wheels I got on my '23.

Here are weight comparisons to the (visually identical) 825Ms I swapped on instead. 22+ lb weight savings. First two pictures are front and rear 930M and second two are front and rear of 825M.

Sort of because the CF roof was free, you added the CF seats as an option. but they were a standalone option in Germany.

The German cars are still the most basic compared with other markets, with for example lumbar support and seat memory as for-charge options.

That's just a reference for the configurator, the model code is still the same. For instance, MY24 G87 for US is 13DM but the configurator will list it as 242R.

Nothing too big in lci realm for this or g8x, right now it’s a great time to go and grind dealers on prices of left over stock. Does flat steering wheel cost potential delta in price? Not for me

EVO magazine is claiming there are Chassis tweaks in addition to more power... not sure how true that is.. could be much like when they said the M2 Competition (F87) had rose jointed control arms ! Lol

That was the case in North America, but not everywhere. It really depends on BMW local decisions on packaging. North America has always been more packaging orientated, the rest of the world more a-la-carte when it comes to options. I believe the base M2 seats in Germany are actually manual adjustment which will be a rare if not unknown config elsewhere, for “Seat adjustment, electric with memory for driver’s seat” costs €950 in Germany and then an additional €250 for adjustable lumbar support.

Not buying it. BMW would be the first to toot its horn if they indeed made any tweaks to the chassis. This is the only mention in the press release which looks like standard marketing jargon.

"In combination with its compact dimensions, chassis technology tuned perfectly for both everyday driving and track use, and a state-of-the-art operating system that allows personalization of a wide range of vehicle functions, this makes the new M2 ideally equipped to write the next chapter in the BMW M brand’s history of success in this segment."

Was there a market that had the seats individually was his question. I don’t think there was. But now, there is: you can order the seats separately.
Yes Germany had the CF seats individually in 2023 when I looked at the options back then, along with Alcantara/Sensatec and manual seat options.

ynguldyn, I'm not seeing anything compelling to indicate MY25 G87 is an LCI. Do you see anything? The order sheet above is rather intriguing though.

I don't have numbers but I had 2 dealers in the NY/NJ/CT area offer 500 below sticker without any prodding.

As far as I know the buckets were always a component of the $10k carbon pack regardless of country. But who knows, maybe I’m wrong

“… with chassis tweaks designed to make the handling sharper, too.”

Hey I read it - gotta be true.

Seriously, they’re the only ones reporting this.

The new M2 is now live on the Individual Visualizer site. I wish the blue was Laguna Seca, but Voodoo is not too bad. It's missing Atacama Yellow and Imola Red.

Looks like the there is now no Comfort Pack in the UK which used to be ~£700. Heating steering wheel is now standard. Wonder where the heated steering wheel button is on the new wheel, not in the previous location... perhaps now also in the idrive menu :-/
