That gives me the .8% needed to satisfy the x drive issue, keeping me under 1%. It also give me about 3.5 inches of sidewall needed to deal with the lousy roads here. I have the 791M wheels: 8" front and 8.5" rear. I've also decided to go with the Continental DWS06+ for tires. Just think they will be a better all around fit for my driving preferences. Will be selling the original Pirelli summer performance non-run flats. About the only concern I have is the clearance with the front tires. No posts have identified any clearance issues with the setup that I'm aware of. Comments?
The size you're wanting to change to is the size this car comes with if you get the ZTK performance cooling package, but with 8.5" fronts and 9.5" rears.

Installed the new wheels yesterday!

Wheels: Avant Garde M540
Fronts: 19x8.5 ET25
Backs: 19x9.5 ET35
5X112

Decided to stick with the original specs so that I can take advantage of the PS4S' that the car came with. Looks amazing imo, however, I'm thinking a 1" drop, with 5mm spacers all around might give it the perfect look.

Let me know what you think!

LOL! The guy at the shop told me the same. So I had him order me some product that apparently you just spray and rinse, and does the trick.

Let's hope it works as good as he says!
I'll share the product here in a few days if anyone else wants to try.

Nice choice! I agree with the drop and spacers to compete the look!

So I ended up adding spacers a lot sooner than I expected. As happy I was with the new wheels, them being "tucked in" was really bothering me.

Thought I would be more conservative with the spacer sizes, but the guys at the shop convinced me to add more than 5mm; We went with 12mm in the front, and 15mm in the back.

Much better.

Lowering springs, I'm still on the fence about. I think I may save that for next summer.. I've spend enough already this year

APEX | G42 SM-10 Feature

A full rundown on our new SM-10s to support our ongoing Group Buy. This will be redundant for those following along with our development thread, but its a great chance to help share the news on fitments for this chassis and save G42 owners some cash on a set of these wheels.

This sample set of SM-10 wheels was built to work on the G20 3 series, but after seeing the factory 2 series offsets we knew we had to try them on a G42 2 series as well. Judging by this preliminary testfitment we are excited to say the least. The setup featured in this post is a staggered 19x9 front wheel paired with a 19x10 rear wheel and should be a direct fit on the G42 chassis. We also tested the 19x9 in the rear as well as we know 19x9 square fitments will be a popular option for these cars with the heavy emphasis on xDrive from BMW.

BMWs switch to the new 5x112 bolt pattern meant that our old catalog of 5x120 fitments wasn’t usable on the new G chassis cars, but we’re excited to begin properly supporting these modern chassis with our SM-10s. The Flow Formed SM-10s shown here will be the first design launched for these cars, but we are planning to offer more designs and forged options in the future. Full production wheels should be coming into stock later this summer and we are shooting to get a Group Buy for these wheels live soon. A huge thanks goes out to our volunteer Alex for lending us his beautiful M240xi. As a reminder, if you live in the bay area and are interested in professional photos of your car on sample sets of APEX wheels as well as a discount, please submit a reply to this form: https://www.apexraceparts.com/suppor...hoot-volunteer

Specifications

Wheels & Tires:
SM-10s in Anthracite with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires. (not xDrive compatible)
Front: 19x9" ET28 with 245/35-19
Rear: 19x10" ET38 with 275/35-19

This set was orginally used on a G20 3 series as a sample set and we wanted to validate wider and shorter front tire fitment for a RWD car. There are a number of xDrive compatible tire options that can work on this platform, but I would recommend the following option as a good starting point:

xDrive Recommended fitment:
Front: 245/40-19
Rear: 275/35-19

19x9 ET28 Rear Fitment

An excellent option for xDrive cars or owners looking rotate wheels and tires between the front and rear axles over the life of the set.

Does anyone happen to know what the bolt pattern is for an M240i with the 893M bicolor wheels (ZTK package)? I looked up the part numbers in the catalogue and although they list the width and offset, I did not see any reference to bolt pattern. My assumption is that it is 5x112, but want to confirm this before ordering an AM wheel set.

Apologies in advance if this has already been shared. Thank you!

Edit: I just looked above and confirmed through Apex Parts Post that it is indeed 5x112.

Yep, you should be all set. 5x112 bolt pattern with a 66.6mm Centerbore.

I'm square on those tires, but on 8.5" wide rims. That ET will be critical, of course, but may work.

Has anyone ran this combo yet? I’m going with aggressive offsets. But I think it can fit, with a nice drop and camber dialed in.

19x9 - 245/35
19x10 - 285/30

Might re use the oem front tires and only buy new rear tires

Here is my Supra for reference,I like aggressive setups

I'm thinking of doing 255s square as well for next summer. How are you liking that setup so far?

So, I'm trying to lock down an acceptable range for offsets as I look around for wheels for this setup. For example, 9" wheels with +28 works. What about 9.5" or 8'5"? I tried to find more concrete examples as I went through this thread but I missed them if there are any.

Hey all, picked up my g42 on Friday, ordered some H&r springs and a few other goodies, but now I’m shopping for wheels. I know these are still relatively new to the tuning scene but i have some wheels i can pick up with these specs, 19x9 +42 and 19x8.5 +25, thinking these would work well with a 10 mm spacer for the rear and I’d run a 245/40/19 and 265/35/19 for the xdrive system, plus some stickier rubber too. I come from tuning the older bmws and i even built a new Supra so I’m excited for this build for sure. What do you all think about this size?

Reading through this and trying to wrap my head around this, thanks everyone for contributing to this thread.

Could anyone confirm these would work on my 22 m240i without the wheel/cooling package?

I talked to HRE and they said they had such limited info they couldn't confirm fitment, which I thought was very odd.

"they said they had such limited info they couldn't confirm fitment" - sounds like they don't give a shit. you'll need 20-25mm spacers for it.

Thanks for the info.

I was forwarded your contact information regarding your inquiry about some wheels for your 2022 BMW M240i. Unfortunately, I would love to give you good news on this but sadly I do not have any for you.. Since your M240i is so new, we do not have measurements and data on this vehicle yet, so we are not able to provide a fitment for it.. If you already know exactly what fitment you are looking for, we could see if we have something that works but ultimately, we don’t have the data on our end to provide something for you..

Just a random thought. Do you guys think the stock rims on the new m2 that's coming out will fit our 240? Thanks!

For sure not. M3 g80 specs
275/35ZR19 100Y 9.5Jx19 ET20
285/30ZR20 99Y 10.5Jx20 ET20
M2 will have the same 99%. And it’s too much for fenders.
