With fingers crossed that Netflix can step up and offer him his own show, with the hope of Hammond and May joining since they said themselves they won't do the show without him.

Well, looks like the Stig (or Stig impersonator) in a tank delivering the 1 million signatories on a petition to bring Clarkson back did not work.

All of their contracts expire soon so hopefully there is no "you cannot do another show like Top Gear" clause lurking around.

Hope someone realizes the gold BBC just threw into the wind and gets these three back in action.

£50 Mil. A year BBC earned from Top Gear. It's amazing that they toss the money in the wind now. However I do get it, they canned other people for violating their rules, policies, whatever, and it wouldn't be fair to let someone skip right by those rules.

I just hope the three get together for another show. It's the only real car show around anymore IMO.

This kind of sux, as this was one of very few shows I actually enjoyed watching. It was funny, stupid at times, but great entertainment. Pretty sure it is the end of Top Gear UK, as US version is ok at best. Anyone know any other shows similar as I really have no ideas? Wheeler dealers (cough...)?

Have been a hard core fan of the show since the beginning, but I have to say there is no doubt in my mind Clarkson deserved to be sacked. Nowhere in the Western world is screaming like a toddler for 30 min and then punching a colleague or subordinate in the face *not* a fireable offense. Frankly I think he will be lucky if he gets through this and avoids criminal charges.

Go and read Lord Hall's statements on BBC if you haven't already - he reveals some more of the facts as discovered during the official investigation.

I'm sure Clarkson will land on his feet after this, maybe even with a new show but agreed 100% with the BBC position (despite the cash cow that Top Gear represents to them):

Now - all sarcasm aside...From listening to May "what was something small turned into something big" and the fact that Clarkson's relationship with the BBC executives was already strained and vice versa - one has to wonder what the "BBC Investigators" consider a "punch." Louise Mensch a former political figure in the UK weighed in and said "Britain has got so pathetically wimpy." When a girl says you are wimpy...hmmmmm. Again it begs the question of the severity of the "fracas" and if the investigators are biased...the legitimacy of their findings. Still, any "fracas" at work is most likely a termination of employment offense regardless. One more thing - assault charges are different from battery charges...assault charges are those brought about by threats and posture, not the "laying of hands on" - battery charges are the "laying of hands on" - so unless the laws in the UK are different (which they probably are than those of us Hooligans in the Colonies) then again the charges do not match the BBC alleged circumstance.

Back to sarcasm...all this over a slab of sliced Oscar Mayer...sigh!

Or Velocity picks them up like it has been doing over the years with some awesome random things that channels like SPEED have dropped and renames the show to GOP TEAR. Either way I don't even care, I just want to continue to watch those monkeys do dumb s**t with expensive a** cars !

Netflix would be CRAZY not to offer him his own show. It'll be interesting to see if Hammond and May follow him.

It will be interresting to see if the show is cancelled. It's still one of the most enjoyable TV series but without Jezza they should cancel it and start another car show. Good luck to Clarkson and hopefully we'll see him refreshed somewhere else. All good things come to an end and this has been a good run. Thanks to the TG guys for putting on many good shows in what must been one of the best jobs one can have and when you stop appreciating that and act like JC it's time to eat some humble pie.
