And they will but from a manufacturing and production standpoint, it's going to be hard to get if the supply and production cycles are low. The 2er (including M2) are produced in lower quantities than the 3/4er (incl. M3/M4) and those are already more difficult to get especially if you want a factory order.

I have a very strong suspicion it will be well worth the wait. I waited over 3 months for the G42, and every day I drive it I like it even more.

It has it faults in that it is a bit on the robust side, and as an M lite the suspension is a little soft, but that is what makes it such a perfect daily driver.

If I feel like taking some hits to the body or driving like my hair is on fire I can reserve that for the weekends.

I matriculated from a 135i to the 1 M. I'm beginning to detect the same sense of pent up desire for the G87 and think that lightening might strike in the same place again.

But I had to fill an immediate need for a comfortable daily driver, so I am in the LCI camp practically speaking.

Thus I'll have to live vicariously through you fortunate early adopters.

The problem with this pic is that someone decided it was a good idea to leave on the black German licence plate bracket right on top of the high gloss lower bumper in the middle.It’s just way to much black where there shouldn’t be any.That is one of the reasons why the first pic looks quite a bit better than this one.

These seats look awfully close to what ynguldyn described weeks before we saw them in the manual G87 the media tested. Sensatec, alcantara, with blue stitching. Right out of the F87 OG M2 playbook, even with the upper embossed M logo. But many refuse to believe these will be the standard seat. We will know in less than two weeks.

Mike, we got you in just in time. M240's have been extremely scarce since then. Actually received my first allocation for one in about 3 months to fill a July order. This car won't be here until December at the earliest. 6 others still in line.

Oh sure the next year or 2 could be ropey, cannot disagree there. But they've got a long production run til 2029, so a lot of time. Although I get right now most people aren't thinking that far ahead.
