I wish I could give negative reputation points every time a Porsche is brought up.

Worst first year car experience I had was with the Cadillac ATS. The car was mechanically great but CUE was horribly horribly buggy. They replaced a bunch of stuff in the car and it still had issues. Cadillac eventually offered to buy it back. I know iDrive8 is newish but I'm not terribly worried about any part of the car other than how it looks!

I actually rather like the look of the G87. The blocky vents look a lot better than the triangular vents on the M240i. Back end looks fine, but I do wish they used a major traditional taillight look like the ones on the LCI E90, E46 etc. It also has the smaller kidney grilles as opposed to the big snout on the G8x cars.
I wonder if it will have a manual? Definitely will be the last 'small' BMW with a manual. Last edited by ube91; 10-07-2022 at 08:02 PM.. |

More I look, now I'm finding the front looking odd too.

I saw the XM in person in SoCal last month about 3 weeks be it was “unveiled” and yeah, they only let a few people in at a time and there’s really no way to sneak a pic unless you wanted to be removed from the event and barred from future events. You enter through a metal detector, they don’t allow phones, hats, bags, purses or even Apple Watches… The XM also looks much better and beefier in person than it comes across in the photos BMW posted. I hated all the XM leaks but seeing it in person changed my opinion a little

Yes there is a % about supply and demand but just take the G83 for exemple, nothing equivalent comes close to it at its price point. The G8x value/performance/quality ratio is very very good.
