After 10 days in "Final Assembly" I got impatient and called BMW Genius who informed me the car was already at the port waiting for ship assignment.

My car ended up doing a Port transfer from Brunswick to NJ. It is somewhere between those two points. SM believes Friday may be the day but is conservatively setting expectations for mid next week.

I’m just happy to have an update and explanation.

In other news, the PPF company my Center outsources to is the same one I found thru different channels. The person I’m dealing with actually knows my CA well. He has also matched my Extreme Colors quote INCLUDING the 10% CCA discount. I’m very pleased. This outfit has excellent reviews and the communication thus far has exceeded my expectations.

I’ll post the info over on the Tri-State PPF page for any that are seeking a little prophylactic.

Have you seen anywhere the ship departure frequency? I'm guessing it's on the order of weeks.

BMW Genius said it could be anywhere from 2 days to 6 weeks. I have seen a few post of members tracking ships but not sure how or where they do this. Hopefully another member who knows how to track ships can chime in. My car is being delivered to central CA. I am guessing its either Port at Long Beach or Port Hueneme. Does anyone know?

It will be out of Lazaro Cardenas. A lot of times, it will stop by Long Beach for a day, then to Port Hueneme where your car would be dropped off. Based on the Nyk line schedule, the next vessels would be 7/4 and 7/14. If you miss those, then it would be 8/13. Of course, there might be other vessels that your car can board as well. This is just to my knowledge.

You might want to track the Taurus Leader vessel. Seems like the next vessel docking at Lazaro Cardenas on 7/4, if nothing else comes sooner.

Typically, 2-4 weeks till build is complete. Of course there are exceptions at the extremes at both ends of the spectrum.

Yes, but I am still in final assembly as of today.
