I didn't ask about insurance prices on any other cars when i was shopping. Makes sense the M3 and M4 would be more expensive though.

When I got my G87 back in April of last year it was so new Progressive didn't have it in their system so I ended up having a long phone convo with an agent who just priced it as an M240i.

More horsepower is likely and that’s a plus.

Additional weight? Not a concern. Some grande lattes add more weight with all the syropy additions.
I wonder how it’s comparable to the RS3- I know it’s a saloon but these two cars will now be cross shopped in the North East…

Yes, 335XI. M2 XDrive manual and I’m in. No 3rd pedal and I’m not interested.

My understanding is that we'll never see an xDrive manual again. Deader than disco.

Not many newer AWD Manuals left. I have two of them… a very modified 2020 STi and a 21 Bronco 2dr. Been looking to sell one but hard to let go

Yep, the WRX is the only AWD MT sedan, and the GRC is the only AWD MT hatchback. We are in the end times.

BMW are not about lightweight fun cars anymore (that ship sailed long ago) & unfortunately if you want that your looking at the wrong brand, hell even my OG M2 is a barge. We are talking about a tank being replaced by a slighty heavier tank.
I also dont see the point in an M4 any more as they are basically the same car now aside from the M2 looking way better imo.
OG M2 is a barge? wow I was going to look at getting one!

3) cheaper

I also like strawberry more than chocolate, bourbon over scotch, and star trek more than star wars, if we are discussing matters of taste.
question: is the seatbelt mounting as far back like the M4? i heard it's impossible to grab the seat belt in the M4 ...

Not impossible, but you do have to reach; one of the only reasons the comp seats are better, imo.

From the information available so far yes, that was my assumption.

So, gives us ~2 years to save up for a M2C w/ xDrive AWD...

It seems like it wouldn't make sense to do an xDrive until after a RWD CS because the xDrive is going to be able to put up crazy numbers for 0-60 and 1/4 mile

I've always told myself I won't be selling my F87 Competition unless it's for an xDrive. This might be the model that gets me to do it. Pretty exciting news for the G87

So where does an LCI2 fall into this? MY27 or MY28?
