As for F&F..... outside of a very small entertainment value, they could only appeal to the unknowing masses of teenie-boppers. The best part of that movie, was when they pulled out that GTO. And they even managed to ruin that by making it do a 6' wheel stand on street pavement.

Someone said that these movies made the car scene what it is today. There may be some truth in that statement. But what the car scene is today on local levels is a joke compared to what it used to be. When people my age were out at the "races" back in the day, $10s of $1000s of dollars were changing hands every week. And the only front wheel drive cars out there were the ones driven by the girl friends.

So true.

I remember 13 years ago I was asked if I wanted my car to be featured in the movie "The Fast and The Furious" and I declined at the time. The black S2000 took my cars spot. I had seen parts of the script and thought how awful it was and it was nowhere near what street racing was in the 1990s in Socal.

Then when the movie came out I was so glad my vehicle was not in it. Years later I wish I would have agreed. I would have got to meet the cast and crew but such is life.

Street racing was so much different than these movies. We had good times at Firehouse, Wild Animal Park and Mira Mesa.

RIP Mr. Walker…

I have a hard time with those types of blogs. Do you call for an outright boycott of their blog and anything they are associated with. But at the same time giving that person and their affiliated blogs more attention. Or do you just close the door quietly hoping to not draw any attention to what you've just seen.

A catch 22 i suppose, but i'd like to see Walker's wife punch that bitch in the mouth on principle alone.
