20 miles on the local roads around the house today. Hit my 100 mile goal for the week.

I have to replace my daughters radiator on her Camry tomorrow. On the fence whether I want to put down a 20 mile ride tomorrow morning, but you're motivating me.

21 miles today. Love it when a 150lb dog is charging at you barking and the owner is yelling, "Don't worry, he doesn't bite." Yeah, right.

My dad is home alone for a few days and it was a beautiful morning so decided to take the 2-legpower 2-wheeled convertible to his house and back. Good to shake some rust off, way too few miles this year so far.

Can't get my "snips" to paste but it was 10.42 miles, 462 ft elevation, 40:23

A bit over 26 today to finish out the week with 150. Rest day tomorrow, I think.

Mixed clouds and sun today. 70's with little or no wind and dry. Cycling nirvana. Got 33 miles in. Just pipped over 2k for the year so far.

Shortage of time and poor air quality kept me to a 15 miler today.

34 today. Just before the end of my ride some fat cat moron in a golf cart pulled out into the street right in front of me. Very close call at 20MPH.

Instead of driving down to my normal area I rode down for the first time.

Also became the first time I got chased by dogs.

And then had my first flat so I cut my route short and limped home.

Whew buddy this bike is NOT geared for climbing, especially after doing 30 miles.

I live on the top of a ridgeline, so anywhere I go from here is downhill. That means at the end of any ride, I'm climbing those same hills. It's not a huge elevation change. Maybe 80-100ft. But it's steep AF. I ended up getting a different cassette with a 34 tooth gear so I had a 34/34 option for climbing.

Same I live at about 200ft. Riding down was great but I gave up maybe 1/3 of the way up coming home. I'm running 36-52 and 11-30. My bike was a complete build from their website and I asked if I could switch to an 11-34 but they said they don't stock that cassette. It rides great in the flat area I usually go to, if anything I'd drop to 34-50 on the crank as I do like the steps on this cassette for what I usually use it for. Not sure if I'll do the same route next week but I am in talks with my LBS on a new build and will spec it more for climbing.

Windy as hell today. I took advantage by running a route with long runs where the wind was at my back. Set some decent times.

I need to get my ass back on my super nice road bicycle, which is collecting dust in the garage. I guess I'm going through a slump and need to pick myself back up gradually and surely.

I think the older one is the previous-gen (before redesign) CAAD aluminum race geometry bike with 105 components. ($1500–2000 MSRP)

The newer one is the Hi-MOD carbon SuperSix Evo with Ultegra Di2 (about $7-8k MSRP, I forget).

Ironically, I rode bicycles the most when I had my CAAD and lower-tier bikes... And then when I finally shell out the big bucks for something much nicer after several years, I'm not riding anymore. Go figure.
