I feel bad with how easily I got mine. Emailed the only local dealer and two days later had a production number.

As I understand, it doesn't affect production scheduling, it just affects how long your car hangs out at the port before it gets trucked to the dealer. If it's already added to your build early you should be in the best shape you can be in, but if you wait until later you may run into supply issues that could delay it even further.

I got my allocation the 28th and I'm week 37. I saw on the spreadsheet you were June 30th. Think it's because you got a carbon pack? Or maybe you got parts to be installed at the port

Just received allocation from Kuni in Beaverton last week.
Caved and went 8spd Auto with a pretty basic build overall in the end. Got a status 112 and “assigned to “ W-38. Does that mean week 38?

I got my allocation last week and got build week 46 and I have the carbon package. At what point am I not be able to change some specs on my M2 order; say I change my mind on the exterior color and want to change it, would you be able to up until your build week?

I’d try to be firm with your selections quickly. Sometimes the build weeks get shuffled and your build could shift to the left and your exterior color and other options would be locked in at that point.

haynstyleM2 had a 7/27 allocation and got scheduled for production the next day. Go figure!

Got allocation 7/30. I checked with BMW and it's scheduled week 41 production. I have Carbon Package and MP HAS on my order.

My CA wasn't able to add Carbon Package last week when I received the allocation, and they were able to add it to my order yesterday.
