Proud to be joining Team Zandvoort Blue over Cognac! No carbon in the build, so just chugging along at this point.
My allocation came through on 6/16 Production Begins stage on 7/11 Final Assembly stage on 7/17 |

Damn that was quick. 13 days until you received an allocation? Did you just get lucky?

Still no word from my CA on the delays, as my order has reverted to "order received" status 37, but my 2023 build just flipped to MY2024 and the MyBMW site still shows the Carbon pack.
Presumably the dealer will have to pay the difference and I'm now getting a MY2024. |

I'm happy to cover the $1k for the MY2024 considering that I inquired about skipping my MY2023 June allocation to get a MY2024 July allocation, but my CA said I could not do that and doing so would put me at the end of the line (not true, based on what I have read here). |

i had the same scenario - placed an order demand back in January 2023 and spec'ed the carbon roof. Dealer made a mistake and spec'ed the carbon package.
Fast forward a few months and my turn came up to get their next allocation (not sure when this was - no one called me until early last week). The allocation was for a 2023 MY but due to the carbon package kept getting delayed until it went into status 105. Dealer called me last week to ask if i want to remove the carbon package to get the car built, or keep the carbon package however that would keep delaying production. I told them i had no idea an allocation had been given to me and that I only ordered the carbon roof, not the carbon package. Got the production # from them and began tracking it on the BMW website. Long story short, we revised the spec this Monday and Tuesday the mygarage website flipped from 2023 MY to 2024 MY (Same production #). Yesterday the revised spec appeared on the mygarage site and the status changed to 112. Today it went 150. Super stoked and in a way the dealer's error worked in my favor as otherwise i'd be getting a MY23 car in late September/early October. It's probable that the current car will arrive in late October/early November but is a model year newer. Worth the slightly longer lead time. The $1k increase is inconsequential. |

Would have loved it if I could have chosen my CA, but I guess when you walk into the dealership you get what you get. |

I would take that car and run if I were you! It's hardly worth the additional wait to get the exact same car but one MY newer unless you care THAT much about making a few more bucks in resale.
