June 2 CA texted me I got an allocation and a production number

I was number 4 right behind you Gulf. I had the same experience, was 19th in line in Atlanta and noticed Galleria was getting steady M2 allocations by looking on autotrader. Deposit a couple days after you and got my allocation July 26. Worth the trip when it's ready and get to knock 1/3 of my break in off driving her home

I know a Week 43 build allocation available at $1k off msrp. This was one of the dealers I got onto waitlist early on, ended up buying an earlier allocation with a different dealer so this one is up for grabs. Message me if interested and I will put you in touch with my SA. Dealer is located in midwest, they offer shipping for out of state customers...

Whelp, my order is back sliding.

MyBMW app did the backup Boogaloo
For < month it was on the 2nd dot awaiting production even though CA said on 8/1 it had started production

I "tried" to participate in M Town last Tuesday (what a piece of hot garbage that "event" is) Drove an hour to get to the dealer. Scheduled 12-1... signed in at 1140. Told me it was 145-2hour wait for the M3 as no one really wanted to drive the XM & i4.

While there, my CA said there was a SNAFU and my car was in fact NOT in production, but not even slated for production. No carbon on mine so idk why

MyBMW is back to Order Received

Can't wait to take delivery with 2 feet of snow on the ground. Won't be able to do PCD either bc I cannot drive it back to Ohio through the mountains on PS4s

The M Town organizers are a different group of people than the dealerships that host them. I happened to be at the dealership when M Town rolled in and got to test all the cars immediately despite not having joined the RSVP list with a specific time. I just stood around the M Town folks and they let me ride a car whenever the 'scheduled' folk were late for their slots.

I definitely didn't blame the dealership.

Not slated for production? What does that mean?

It means status 111, order received but not scheduled (112).

This is very unusual. For it to take a step back

Moved to Production Begins today! Carbon roof but not the carbon seats. Paid my deposit and joined waitlist July 22. Was quoted a long wait, then my dealer called back a week later and offered me an August production slot.

This allocation is still available if anyone is looking for a new G87 at a rare (albeit small) discount...

Nice!

My only complaint ( some of you will laugh ) , is the dealer said it would be 10-12 months before I’d get the car. Which for me was perfect because I still need to payoff my Jeep….this car coming early is throwing a monkey wrench into everything and I don’t wanna have 2 car payments, or be broke as hell for another year paying off my Jeep ( I will not ever part with the Jeep for those saying sell it lol )

But congrats man on getting the allocation from galleria…..my dilemma is…..do I drive down and get it and put 1000 miles on it before it ever sees my driveway or do I have it shipped ?

Ballpark what do you think it will cost to ship? Similar circumstance on the transport after delivery. Any recommendations on carriers? Thank you!

I highly recommend shipping enclosed versus open carrier. The increased expense is worth it, especially for a new vehicle and/or any vehicle of substantial value.

Any companies you’d recommend?

No, as I use multiple brokers. They are essentially the middleman and the only way you can really acquire a shipper without going with one of the larger companies, which I would avoid as they tend to be extremely costly.

Thank you! I’ll lean on my dealer to arrange everything then.

Do a PCD handover and enjoy some of BMWs hospitality. Then drive it home from SC
