Just want to share more frustration with getting an allocation for M2. I was in waitlist back in October 2022, and one of the client advisor promised me with msrp+$900 ceramic coating charge. This guy apprarently quit his job and I had to argue with one of the sales manager to get the future vehicle with just $900 added equipment charge. Apparently, they are now asking $5,000 more for M2 as of today. However, this sales manager quit his job month ago, and new sales manager is now asking me $5,000 more and I am next in line. I don’t know what to do at this moment.. all I have is a coversation between previous sales manager telling me that I will get it with msrp+$900, but is this good enough to fight for it?

While it would suck to start the process over, it's getting a lot easier to get an M2 and some are even showing up on lots unsold. Make a ton of phone calls to all dealers within 2 hours of you. |

Most of the dealerships nearby Los Angeles and San Diego area are all asking minimum $5k more. When you guys mean by “writing”, does a conversation in email count?

I required my CA to actually build an order sheet with all the pricing and send it to me for signatures to even be put on the allocation wait list. If you don't have that try the email route but it sounds like these folks aren't really worth working with and you'll likely end up with a poor experience no matter what. |

Are you willing to expand your search area? I'm in the San Diego area and can provide information about where I got mine for MSRP but I cannot guarantee that it is still the case.

Absolutely, I am willing to expand my search, but I can tell you that the two of the dealerships that did to me are BMW of San Diego and Escondido. They both changed their words when the allocation became available

For example, in the sales notes of my order my CA wrote the MSRP price. |

My experiences from October 2022: SD wanted to add a mandatory protection package and Escondido was willing to do MSRP but took that statement back when I actually wanted to put a deposit down in early 2023. |

Email is good for something, but a price quote signed by the sales manager is better evidence. I was assured almost a year ago at the time of initial order that I would be paying MSRP. After recently hearing some horror stories like yours of last minute add-ons and markups I got spooked and reached out to the dealer to add some legitimacy to the dealer's promise. At my request, they provided me with a signed price quote with my build # written on it.
