These increase the surface area of the paddle and makes it easier to reach when steering in corners. |

Nothing crazy. Threw on some 13mm spacers and put on the black M performance exhaust tips. I think the spacers are just enough to make the 240 look a little more grown up.

Careful with 10mm spacers, there's a reason most brands don't make them, the hub ring is held on there by a paper thin section of metal.

I installed:
The BMS panel filter and intake muffler delete (also removed foam in box) Sto n sho license plate Front and rear TLG fender guards Got quoted for dinan spring install for 1200 including alignment which was the best deal so I will be scheduling that. I was going to DIY but decided against it to have someone to go back to if the suspension is knocking or any issues.

Ian H has always been helpful to me when I have questions, so I have no issue with him or you sir. I was just curious about the subject because I will be looking to get aftermarket wheels when I get my car.

Its a simple geometry problem, the hub is 10mm and the spacer is 10mm so there is an exceedingly thin piece of metal holding the outer hub centric section on. Just because someone makes something doesn't mean it works well.
Also funny that you mention bimmecc when their 10mm spacers seem to be or was problematic https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1995891 8mm spacers are usually a pita, due to low contact. 10mm spacers sometimes only work with oem wheels. And even then they are still fragile. Usually try to stick to a 5mm or 12+ spacer so that you don't have issues. The weird thing about using a 10 on this car that 12mm spacers are the right size... lol

Anyway, your claim was that no reputable brand sells 10mm spacers for ten G42 and that is incorrect. PS spacer size will vary depending on the tyre and wheel combo. so feel free to dial up where BMW say 12mm is a recommended size |

All the oem wheels options have the offsets dialed so that the outer edge of the wheel sits at the same point, track width equal. 12mm spacers works for all of them.
When buying aftermarket wheels, priority is for no spacer needed, but secondarily you should either shoot for a spec that needs 5mm or less spacer, or 12+ You don't seem to understand why the 10mm spacer is problematic so we can just go with "ignorance is bliss"

Additionally, tyre choice will affect the spacer size. Quote:

https://a.co/d/f6e1YKx Got this 12v adapter today that fits in the port but still allows the cover to close. Probably still need a 90 degree usb-c to close with the cable plugged in.
