Schedule break-in service
They say they need the car for 1.5 days? I thought it was just a fluid change, but is there something more substantive going on?

Had mine in as a "waiter". Took less than 2 hours.
Trouble is the first "waiter" appointment was nearly 2 weeks away. This is due to the dealer's service department being rather busy. |

Can confirm the actual service can be done in 90-120 minutes. The place I was at had an observation deck that overlooked the service bays, you could watch your car being serviced. Basically, the car was not out of my sight from the time I arrived until I left, and that was pretty cool.

I wouldn’t let them keep my brand new car a day and a half for 90 minutes of service, which will allow you to tap its full potential. Fuck that. |

How do you know if techs are not taking you’re car out for a joy ride, even when you’re still there?

At the time I don’t, I just can’t imagine they’d pick my car when I’m waiting and it’s only I Break-in service (less than 2 hours total). The car also has no reason to leave the premises as no test drive is required and there are No Car Wash signs all over the vehicle. In addition, the added deterrent of the ACE 3.0 Pro which is visible from inside and out. In summation, my car is not one a joyrider would pick.

I'm sure there are also plenty of inspections, checks for SIBs, firmware updates, etc. |

Just completed my run in service today (yay!) but noted that this does not reflect in the service history of the car dashboard. Right now it only shows the PDI service at the time of delivery and the next service in 10k kms.
Can someone else confirm that the run in service does not show in the dashboard history? Thanks! |
