Looking for recommendations on the next TV series I should start as I just finished The Wire (Great Show!). Here's where I'm at...
The Wire - Finished Sons of Anarchy - Caught up Lost - Finished Mad Men - In the middle of it True Blood - Caught up House - Caught up Spartacus - Caught up Breaking Bad - Caught up Battlestar Galactica - Finished Band of Brothers - Finished Is Deadwood, Nip Tuck, Dexter, or 24 worth starting? First 2 or 3 seasons of Nip/Tuck were good, but then they started looking for sharks to jump, and they jumped them often.....
Not on your list but: Battlestar Galactica (the SciFi one, not the '80's trash) was an incredible series. Rubicon (AMC, if you like spy thriller type. Just started so you are only 9 episodes behind.)

West Wing.
I think that every American could benefit from watching this show. It did a great job of showing you the day-to-day of the inner workings of government without being political. Great cast/solid acting (at least up until the last season or two) and really really great writing. |

Two of my favorites
The Closer isn't bad at all either, lighter crime drama.
