Instrument Cluster goes off while driving 2024 M240i
I’m currently having this issue on my 2024 M240i. When I turn on the car, everything is okay. However, my instrument cluster goes off urgently, and I have faults. Cluster turns on for 2 seconds and then off for the entire ride until I turn off the car. If I turn off Forward Collision Mitigation, all the messages disappear. Also, the Check Engine goes on, and sometimes, if I turn all the safetys off, the cluster stays on, and the check engine disappears. It’s below degrees where I live, and it’s not fun having those issues because the remote start doesn’t work if the check engine light is on.

Did you tap that radar detector into the wiring in the mirror? That's the only non-stock thing that stands out and could potentially cause issues if incorrectly tapped into the wiring around the sensors in the mirror?
Otherwise, yes, have the dealer fix it. Major safety issue (having no gauges), they have no choice but to fix it. |

Yes, definitely. The thing is that my closest dealership is 5 hours away 🥹 |

Update: The dealership has had my car since yesterday. They ordered the head unit. Hopefully, that will fix the problem. I don’t think it will, but at least I have a 2025 230i loaner.
