Door lock pin rattle

The door lock pin on the driver side door has started rattling. I had the same problem on my wife’s 435. I was able to fix it by removing the grommet and attach some cushioning material around the pin

I’ve tried removing this grommet and can not get it off.

Anyone know of a fix for this problem
