Agreed - totally tacky, even if they only illuminate when opening the car.

At least you have to possess the nerve (i.e., poor taste) to order it, as it does not come standard.

I know it's small but why are the gauges broken into weird segments? For example, there's no 3/4 and 1/4 for the gas gauge; it's broken into 6ths!

Just a graphics matching thing between the two sides. Makes no rational sense.

Well the good news about it is that the low fuel light probably won't pop up until you have 1/6 a tank left... Or would they do it at 2/6 err 1/3.. That'd be even earlier than the e9x with it's 1/4 tank low fuel warning.

You can code when the low fuel warning comes on.

I suspect it will be easy to disable the seat light, unless the thing is glued in from the back. Or some time to find the right pin.
I actually don't mind it, would rather it not be there, but no biggie. Have you seen the glitter Porsche sells as exclusive options...body painted AC louvers and nav surrounds, leather fuse panel cover, red alcantara trim, yellow dials, backlit sills with your own text or name... some pretty gaudy stuff. |

The illuminated logo won't matter since your not looking at it but I wonder how lit up it is as night? Enough to be a distraction on the passenger side if no one is sitting there? I doubt it but I am sure it's an annoyance.

Apparently it only comes on when you open the doors (..and is timed to mirror that of the interior lights; i.e...dims when the lights dim). It doesn't stay illuminated the entire time. That's the impression that I got from a friend who saw the cars at one of the shows.
