So although the M2 has a smaller chassis than the M3, the use of lighter parts balances the weight between the two to a rough even. |

I've changed my mind after watching the video's. I think it looks great. Reached out the dealer and told them to get a Sapphire Black in the 8 Speed with CF roof and Sport Seats.

Yikes.
In summary, it's exactly like the leaks showed many months ago. The red does look much better than the Z blue leaks though. It's the same weight as the G42, with no red leather option, for $13K more (base), with much worse MPG. I hope the carbon interior trim trickles down, but otherwise nothing here really appeals to me. On a track it should be great though of course. As a daily in a place that rains/snows, the M240i x-drive makes way more sense imho. |

Loved the front, but the F87 is actually pretty boring from the side and rear. This finally brings the drama and proper proportions from all angles. |

M2 is finally striking the right proportions. F87 was a smushed up mess A pillar back. Well done M team! M2 CS is the one to wait on.

I am not sure how the G87 manual weighs 3814 lbs, while the G80 manual (which is 9 inches longer and has two extra doors) weighs only 26 lbs heavier. I would think 9 inches of sheet metal all over the car would weigh more than that.

Well, this has now devolved into a G87 love fest, with people not liking the F87 now. I should have assumed this would happen.

Lol at all the butthurt F87 owners trying to crap all over this thread in order to make themselves feel better. Stop posting about how you're not gonna buy this car and will stick with your current vehicle, NOBODY GIVES A FUCK.
You're embarrassing all the other respectable F87 owners! |

I’ve been getting a lot of buyers remorse vibes ever since the g87 has been leaked. “My generation of m2 is better than the new one!” How do you guys know? No one has driven the car yet lol.
What separates us real car lovers is that we can appreciate all cars from American, JDM, German, old and new. They all have qualities that make them unique. When you start shitting on cars for stupid reasons (rear bumper lol) you start to sound like Tesla fanboys. “Oh your car has personality? Mine accelerates to 60 faster than yours so it is better” Be grateful that you have new gas manual sports cars to look at because your governments are getting rid of them FAST |
