[QUOTE=JMcLellan;31110520]Well you're welcome as I was on their list and backed out last July when they called saying it was go-time . I of course have since changed my mind but I wasn't ready last summer.

Haha, thanks!

Oh boy did i miss out on a lot, I feel like at this point there needs to be a discord or a group chat or something.

with my old POS 135 I have had several poor interactions with Minnetonka BMW, although that really seemed to come down to the service advisor, some are really awful. Its unfortunate because I have seen it from the top down at the corporate level and the are wonderful. The interactions with the S.A's are what swayed me to go to Motorwerks

I haven't had any issues with Motorwerks so far, that being said, my tire shop did rip the sidewalls of both of my rear tires getting them off last fall. Apparently the star series PS4S's are very stiff, especially when new and doubly when cold and can rip/have sidewall damage if they are removed. My tire shop did right by me and didn't charge me for their mistake. So far my S.A at Motorwerks has been Andy and he has been really good to work with, my recent issue is goo buildup on the inside of the windows from the rails, they fixed it once and it appears to have gotten worse. But they did re-align my car i think 3 times to try to get the weird pull to the right that all the new M2's seem to have.

I can absolutely recommend the services of Eurocharged. They did great work on my RS3 and I actually ended up cruising out and hanging out with them at the Rock Falls drag racing event last summer. They misquoted my Haldex controller install a couple years ago and stood by what they told me before I brought it in. Alex has been the guy I've coordinated the most in the past, AJ is one of the owners, they are wonderfully nice people. Ratified and I got off to a rough start, but Rat has been pretty great since, definitely going above and beyond what he's needed to.

Which is odd, because, again, Motorwerks was the last place to touch the tire in the fall.
That sucks. I’m usually one to give the benefit of the doubt, but given their lack of caring/response….

I hope they can resolve this in a way that’s satisfactory to you.

Uggg. I hate starting all over. I had such a good relationship with my service advisor at Westside. I trusted him and the dealership to do the right thing if something did go sideways. It also didn’t hurt that he gave me parts at cost and 90% of the time gave me labor discounts.

Rebuilding that trust with a new brand is daunting. Especially a brand that seems to be more focused on leases and getting new customers vs focusing on existing customers that would be brand loyal if treated well.

That’s great to hear about Eurocharged. I will have them swap out my pads and do my midpipe once I decide on which one I want. They all seemed great and gave me a recommended SA at Minnetonka, but apparently that SA has recently left.

I will have to see how tomorrow goes as far as MW vs MT is concerned. MW is close to my office and MT is close to home, so in the long run both would be fine options.

Your friend recommended Ratified as well, good to hear there are some great options for aftermarket and maintenance work once the warranty and free maintenance time periods come to an end.

I would be down for a group text chat for sure.

What you're saying about the sidewall damage when removing the tires makes sense, since there was no bulge when I had Motorwerks remove the tires, and then it appeared when trying to remount them.

Just to close the circle on my earlier rants, the GM did finally get back to me. He said he had inadvertently deleted my first email. Nothing was really addressed, but he did offer to reimburse me for the tire that I had Imola replace, as well as some cash for the labor involved. So kudos to him for remedying the issue.

That’s great that he reached out and made some steps to satisfy the situation.

Completed the break in service at Minnetonka. It was….fine. Ran into my SA who proceeded to run the back of his fingers on my paint and said “yep, you can feel the ceramic coating” after I told him I had it coated. Luckily he ran his fingers over the PPF vs the non PPF paint.

He asked what else I had planned and I mentioned the new brake pads; he seems to be both personally offended that I would be switching pads while conversely confused about the amount of dust the OEM pads produce. “You’d think BMW would have changed that by now” he says….lol.

They also didn’t install the March update to IDrive (which I discovered after I left). Oh well.

I really want to drive it tomorrow, but will probably be lazy and drive the beater in case I go to the show on Saturday.

So the Cars and Coffee show this Saturday in DT MPLS will be interesting. Looks like it’s half in and half out of a warehouse. They are making everyone preregister with a photo of your car. If you get picked, you pay $10 to be in the show. Not a fan of this, but I’m guessing this is due to the limited space of this lot. I don’t know if they will get a huge draw since it’s going to be very hard to get in and out of that area and the spectator lot is blocks away.

I signed up, so we will see what happens.

Edit: so the actual website is misleading. They are making it seem as if you need to preregister, but it’s optional according to their Facebook page.

What’s up guys. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I just took delivery of my ‘23 BSM 6mt on Friday after purchasing the car in St. Louis, Missouri 2 weeks ago and having it shipped to MN. I also have a 6871 single turbo 2013 G37s 6mt sedan and a 2010 W204 C63 sedan. Got pretty lucky with the G87 I found, extremely well optioned out with lots of extra carbon goodies. Previous owner sold it due to relocation to Europe, only 461 miles on dash when I purchased it. Since taking delivery I have thrown an IRL nonres single midpipe, IRL valve controller, IND paint matched side reflectors, Acexxon rear reflector delete, black M2 trunk emblem, Macht Schnell 15mmF/18mmR spacers, AST adjustable lowering springs, M perf CF diffuser, 15% Ceramic XR tint and PPF on entire front end/rockers/roof from midwestclearbra. Almost done with aesthetics I think, already have a carbon lip I just need to throw on after letting ppf cure a couple more days and awaiting carbon side skirts to match. More importantly, I’m planning for a catless downpipe and probably jb4 piggyback to really wake up before powercruise coming up in two weeks. Just broke 1200miles today (over 700mi in the last 5 days!), break in service scheduled for tomorrow then I can really enjoy the car.

I messaged Tyler about having my M2 in their BMW section in the upcoming show, and he approved it. It is a bit strange that their specialty stuff and the headliner for the show is outside and the general parking is inside? I also didn't get asked for any money, was just told to show up. From what I've understood in the past, sponsorship is supposed to cover the costs of the event, so they don't charge people for it. The "general parking" in a paid ramp at Ramp A I have a feeling is going to keep people away

Its going to be interesting because the Whips and Waffles show at 3M is at the exact same time, and they are marketing is as how cars and coffee used to be. They do apparently have 425+ cars preregistered.

Interesting. I haven’t heard of that show.
I wonder if I can get into the BMW section as well.

Welcome and congrats on the new M2. I have a similar-ish BSM 6mt with black wheels. How are you liking the spacers and those sizes? I'm about to purchase some and am debating between 15mm all around or doing the sizes you did. I assume the pics in your other posts are with the spacers installed??

Also, I did work with midwest clearbra on PPF and window tint. They did a really good job.

Very happy with the spacer sizes I went with. Personally, if I went 15mm in the rear I don’t think I would be entirely satisfied. 18mm is perfect to me. Other than the first 5 photos which was when I purchased the car at the dealership, yes they all are with spacers installed. Also keep in mind you can only run 15mm up front if you have PS4S. Many with pzeros have rubbing issues with 15mm I’ve read

Ok, cool. I do have the stock Mich PS4's going back on the car next week so will be getting spacers soon after that. I'm going with the 15 and 18mm's as you've made me feel better about it. It does look really good. How low did you go vs stock with your adjustable springs? Looks pretty similar to drop I got with the MP height adjustable suspension kit.

I still have about 6mm front and rear I can drop further, but it’s very comfortable where it’s at currently without big worry of scraping so I’ll likely leave it. And I still need to throw on my front lip. Here’s another picture I took yesterday, probably fully settled now.

Sweet. That does look good. I don't think my car is quite that low but I will see how things look with the spacers. Will share pics in a couple weeks.

Any of you Twin Cities folks done any piggyback tuning yet on your M2?
I'm considering getting the RaceChip unit to help clean up some of the lagginess feeling I have and give the car another 50 to 80 horses (my car is the 6mt). The lagginess is right after upshifting (i mostly experience this in 2nd and 3rd when pushing the car hard). Just curious if anyone here locally has ripped off the bandaid and done any engine tuning as well. A ride along would be sweet too if I bump into you at a car show or wherever.

I installed JB4, IRL catless downpipe, and ARM intakes right before powercruise at BIR just over a month ago. It provided a much needed power bump. Stock tune low end lag is pretty substantial imo for having twin turbos. I’d love to give you a ride. Butt dyno is reading ~550whp on map 2 (+4 psi) 93oct.

Sweet! The car is looking good. Any issues with timing corrections at all?

I'm in the west metro and I could find a time to connect in the next month or so if you are open to it. No rush on my end since I think I will hold off an a tune until next year but it is always cool to check out other M2's.
