Just under 3800lbs with a sunroof if you get the manual! Wow. Excellent video and about what I expected. They do such thorough work - love SavageGeese.

Cliff notes:
- 6MT is not great but fine, better than older M cars - S58 feels next-gen compared to B58, power is underrated - G87 is the fastest and most capable - Car feels immediate and sharp yet progressive in its behaviour and doesn't snap unexpectedly - Stable and yet fun - Feels most connected both front and rear even though character of F87 is gone - Supra is faster around the track thanks to lighter weight, G87 has a lower skill threshold (more accessible performance) but also a lower ceiling (limits are not as high) compared to the Supra - Overall Mark doesn't love the G87, steering doesn't have a lot of feel, brakes are digital, fake engine sound pumped in. Car is very fast and capable (best performance value at $60k) but forgettable - Jack counters by saying it is the best all arounder in the test, great street car and daily driver and yet stupid fast and track capable with a 6MT option to boot

a much logical comparison would be that of auto g87 going against auto g42 and auto f87 instead supra, as supra is not a 4 seater and not a near ideal daily driver like g42, g87 and f87...

I've been waiting for the SG G87 review and in this format is even better, I have been cross shopping the G87 against the Supra and even the F87.
Was wonderful to wake up to this video. Great start to the end of the week. |

I'd also like to have seen an M2C in here instead of the older version, but it still works as a comparison, I think we probably all basically know the incremental improvements it has and if it'd change anything in the results (unlikely that it would).
I thought the (new) M2 and Supra had the same manual tranny? Was surprised to hear differently but I'm not on top of this stuff. |

Great comparison, really insightful driving dynamics discussion. Glad to see the Supra finally got a manual, I wonder if the Supra trans linkage could be swapped over to the bmw’s to fix the rubbery/plastic feel. I do wish the M2C was included in their comparison though.

I think some people are missing the point of this review. This has nothing to do with the amount of doors on your car. This is to comparison of price, segment, and engine output. All three cars are within the same price range and they also offer similar driving characteristics as they’re all using BMW technology. Please stop debating what’s a better daily driver there’s no such thing..it all comes down to personal preference and what that person likes to drive.

“I feel dead” and “I never want to go for a drive” are telling comments and make me pause
still tho it’s under 70k, awesome interior, fantastic look, great pedigree, I’d argue with anyone who thinks it’s not the best GT daily for the price Last edited by ourlee; 05-05-2023 at 11:07 AM.. |

And I went from a tuned ND Miata (everyone’s de facto favorite “fun” affordable sports car) to the Z4 to the M2. They’re all fun, IMO, but the M2 is my holistic favorite - and that’s even as a second car. |

I consider it a special car because it's the last ICE/manual combo from BMW - the ultimate touring car company. A very significant point they didn't mention. |
