350 miles and it’s been a blast, although it’s hard to behave on the throttle.

Here are a few of the things I’ve done so far:

- 3m Crystalline including windshield
- Taillight clear part black out
- Black M2 badge
- Front/Rear reflector delete
- Door LED projector
- M door lock pins
- Radar detector and dash cam on blendmount (mirror tap will be installed this weekend)
- Bimmer coded some few things including a custom interior ambient lighting profile.
- M logo stem valve caps

Pending to do is spacers 18/15 and KW HAS kit, cf mirror caps and black PPF on the roof. Also have to do something about my license tag, as you can tell I had a Supra prior to this car.

I’m scheduled to drop off my car at Active Autowerke for R&D on the g87 platform so be on the look out for that.

Once break in service is complete I’ll look into performance mods starting with front mount intake, catless downpipes and ecu unlock tune.
Did you just select 2023 M3 in Blendmount?

Actually the blendmount is the same one I had on my 2021 Supra, tried it in the bmw and it worked perfectly.

Wow it’s crazy to think that these mounts work across completely different brands, from Toyota to BMW. Awesome!

I called Safelite and they reported they could order OEM glass - quote with them comes out to just over $1k - I have an appointment booked for next week

Can't say I'm thrilled about using them, but hopefully it works out okay.
Got this installed Wednesday morning - I'd attach some photos but it looks just like original, BMW logo and all.

However, later that day I drove in some rain and got a check control message "Auto lighting and wiping system malfunction" :/

Looks like when they re-installed the rain sensor to the windshield, the adhesive had quite a few air bubbles, which I guess impacted functionality.

Took it back the next day; they re-installed the sensor with new adhesive, and sprayed the windshield with a spray bottle to show the wipers reacting. Will have to see how it holds up when next it rains.

If anyone is curious what the invoice looks like:

You had to pay extra to get it repaired? Or they covered it since they messed up?

It was covered; quite clearly a problem on their end.

When I called them (the physical location, not their 800 number) the guy knew what I was talking about before I even finished describing it, seems like it's a thing they are familiar with.

In Florida, your insurance (as long as you have comprehensive) covers it with no deductible and without it being a claim.
I’d say about 3/4’s of my coworkers have had a cracked windshield in the last 3 years or so. Wasn’t the case beforehand. All tend to have large cracks near the rear view mirror too.

If I had to put money on it, I’d say there’s something not right. Who knows, maybe BMW and Audi share the same manufacturer.

Nothing as exotic as lowering springs or new wheels, but the car really needed a cargo net.

Picked up a 80x60cm net on Amazon, then went to work with the install.

The M2 has two suitably spaced hooks just aft of the rear seats. Unfortunately I found the two anchor points at the rear are spaced too far inboard.

A couple of stainless anchors mounted at the corners of the battery cover provides a suitable anchor point.

Plus it offers a convenient grab point when lifting the cover.

Total effort....15-minutes.

Cool solution but isn’t it easier to just hook it up with the OEM?

Looks good, but I wanted the pocket storage that the aftermarket net provides.
