Please post video of N20 in action
I can't seem to find a single video of an N20 equipped F25 in action. Not on this forum not on YouTube not anywhere. I'd like to see and hear one accelerating with images of speedo/tach and road. Where are all you guys that say you don't care about break in periods and drive it like you stole it? Proof please. Your thoughts and impressions about the power/ acceleration and performance would be nice as well.

The n20 is near silent and smooth from the inside of the car. I was very impressed with the acceleration by honestly disappointed by the non-existent engine sound of the n20 when compared to the previous N52 6cyl 28i.

Thanks for that great video! My X3 arrives first week of June and I have really curious how the N20 will move a vehicle around 800 pounds heavier than a 3 series and X1. I have driven and X1 with the N20 as loaner when in for service and found it to be very quick IMHO. The sound of the engine was very nice. Maybe more sound proofing in X3??

Holy crap listen to that 335i pop at the end of that video!
I drove both the 28i and the 35i before ordering my X3. I was super impressed by the 28i and honestly didn't feel like the 35i was much faster. Really the only reason I ended up going with the 35i was for future-proofing, so I could have the extra power on tap if I felt like I wanted it. Not really necessary, if I'm honest. The 4 cyl was smooth, sounded good and moved the truck without any problems. If you aren't trying to get as much power as possible, the 28i would be a fantastic daily driver. |
