Want to rent COTA for a day?

Just got an email from them, which states:

Use of the full Grand Prix circuit driven by Formula 1 and MotoGP drivers
Full day access to Pits, Paddock, 10 Garages, 1 Team Building Classroom, 1 Paddock Club Loft
Fully staffed and operational track, including track manager, timing system, and corner workers
On-site emergency team
Up to 36 cars and 36 drivers
Catered breakfast and lunch
VIP extras

The cost of exclusive track rental is $55,000 for the entire day.

Seems like a good deal to me. However I live too fAr from Texas for this to be viable for me.

I get it, it's a VIP experience on an F1 track...but still, it's for the Ferrari playboys out there...most of us I suppose are more "grassroots" motorsports types chasing down $300 track day events

Anyone know how much it was to go there with the CCA for a day? Obviously they had a lot more than 36 drivers to make it work, but I am curious.

This is for 36 cars with open track. A CCA event has 3, 4 or maybe 5 groups of 30 or so cars. and that would be 450$ / person if you have a group of instructors who don't pay.

Yup, I believe the recent COTA cca event was only three 30min sessions per day for each group. It was $300 per day.

An open track all day would be worth the extra cash.

Yah true. There so many other good local tracks and events far more affordable. It would be cool to run on an active F1 track privately.
