How do you manage to get negative reputation?

I own several bmws and have for years and do most of the maintenance myself. In general I think the f chassis is one of the best. I just don’t get what people see in the m2. It looks like something my 10 year old would have drawn. I am sure it drives brilliantly but looks is too rough for me.

Edwin.......oh Edwin,

We ARE relaxed. And confident in our views, many of us based on 30+ years of BMW M ownership. YOU, Edwin,
were the one who jumped into this G87 forum to make an opinionated, condescending assertion.

Please, take another look at your original post.

But hey, you've got a right to your opinion, and we've got a right to ours.

What does doing your own maintenance have to do with your opinion about the aesthetics of a car? Does it make your opinion more valid?

Looks are subjective, how can anyone generalise looks? You could love one shape and other don’t. Everyone is different, I respect your opinion but you can’t tell anyone to hate it if you hate it!

I've had two people doing that to my account regularly. Some people just have issues.

All this banter aside, I find it comical when people think an LCI update of the current design is going to completely morph the car's looks. Have those people seen the history of pre and post LCI BMWs? If you don't like the original version, it's highly unlikely the update will change your mind...

A big let down is the headlight design, it just stifles alot of the aggressive look that could be possible with this car,

If they kept the laser angel eyes from the g80, it would probably do wonders for the overall attractiveness

I think this is what they’ll change for the LCI - plus some extra color options.

That would be great. If they're somehow able to offer the CS or special version with that and extra goodies like color options and still keep the manual, I'll have no problem ordering a second unit and keeping both. 🤘🏼

I've thought this is weird too. So many people are saying "I can't wait to see the LCI." Lets enjoy what we have in 2023 before we decide the 2026 is much better. I also don't always like the LCI more. I much prefer the pre-facelift Z3, for example. Maybe I'm slightly biased since I own an M Roadster which only came in the pre-facelift style.

You can probably predict with ~90% accuracy how someone will like the LCI based only on whether they already own a pre-refresh version. The human mind is so interesting and fallible.

I always link potential employers to my Bimmerpost Profile.

I am the complete opposite as I greatly prefer the Z3 LCI.

Most recently I do not have an issue with the G07 X7 LCI, but I absolutely despise the similarly designed G70 7-Series. Amazingly the pre-LCI G07 still looks good without the LCI having dated it. I also like the recently revealed G05 X5 LCI, but at this very moment I do prefer the pre-LCI headlights and front bumper covers. The LCI tail lights are a significant improvement.
