Stop Sale for Front Left Strut Tower

My G87 arrived at the port just over a week ago and my CA reached out yesterday to let me know there’s a stop sale while waiting for parts for the front left strut tower. Has anyone else heard this?

This is the first I've heard of this. My bet is it's a specific issue found on your car at the port inspection process and they are waiting on parts to remedy. If it's a model wide stop sale we would have seen more reports.

Maybe aak them for the report to see if its model wide or car specific. Of they cannot give you any answer, try NA.

If its model wide, I am sure one of the forum gurus will post details shortly.

We have one at the VDC stuck for that issue. There isn't a bulletin for it, just a note that it is a VDC campaign only: strut tower left front

edit: Also showing on a M340i xDrive and 330i

So its just isolated cars as of now with no official bulletin, recall or stop sale for any model(s) as a group/whole?

Looks to be some cars, not all as there is no bulletin. We have 330e, M340i, and 330i that are unaffected at the processing center that arrived on the same boat.

Hi Tag, can you help check mine as well? My car has been at the West coast VPC for a few days now, haven't heard anything. Tried to pm you but your pm quota is full.

Even if not part of a stop sale or having parts installed, its not uncommon for the cars sit there for days waiting on a truck.

Yeah, got the call today that it was stopped for this reason at the port last week.

Yeah just called BMW genius. Looks like the car is processed and everything is completed. Just waiting on a truck.

My M340 has been in stuck in final assembly for the last 30 days. Dealer informed that there is a stop sale due to the left front strut tower. Hopefully they get it figured out soon!

Your car is stuck and it is unrelated to the strut tower. The plant does not share specifics with anyone, but it is parts. And that's as much info as you'll get.

Talked to the Genius today as well as my CA calling me.
My M240i xDrive also arrived at Port Hueneme on the 16th. From the dates given by the Genius (16th) it went instant "Stop Sale".
My CA said it looks like it has been tendered for transport and said it would be fixed at the dealer based upon that fact.
Could you please check for me and see what you see.

My M2 is at the port in California waiting on a recall fix since 6/16. CA hasn’t said what it’s for or when it will be fixed.

Yes, my CA confirmed that today. Fortunately because of the delay they are able to install the MP HAS suspension kit at the port. So I’m not that upset.
