We have one that has been in final assembly for 20 days.

Is there any precedent for BMW providing any concessions (pricing or otherwise) in a scenario like this? The closer we get to the launch of the 2024 models, the more I hesitate to pay full price for a 2023 that’s still going to be held up indefinitely.

Think how this priority one client currently feels and they are well aware of the issue at hand too.

I mean, this sure looks like text from an official BMW press release, so I blame BMW for VDC/VPC madness.

The concession is you don't get to pay the $1000 price increase for the MY24 model. Lol.

And then there is this. Photo shoplifted from an individual that posted it on Facebook and is currently vacationing in the Galveston area. The closest port of entry for anything coming out of SLP too.

So - what are the chances people who already have their cars are affected by this? Am I gonna get a letter in the mail at some point to get that part inspected?

Is there a technical document (pdf) anywhere that lists the implications of the stop sale? My VIN doesn't show any open items.

This is exactly what I am waiting to hear from BMW. If it’s a recall, hope we hear soon. If not, hope we can understand what the issue is/was so we don’t worry.
The silence is deafening.

You can contact your CA or SA to run the vehicle history on your vin to see if there’s any open recalls.

Well this has been fun to read, but thanks for the info. I've been in Final assembly since May 30th with no movement since. I presume mine is definitely affected.
