Jack Points

How nice of BMW to provide these convenient jacking points.

Does anyone have any idea what style (P/N) of scissor jack these hard-points are designed for?

You can get pucks for those anywhere.

For example, just search "BMW Lift Pad" in Amazon.

Thanks...but I'm looking to put together an emergency kit for roadside tire repair, so a small scissor jack designed for these jack-points would be ideal.

You can fine the OEM BMW which fit the jack point ones online or at you dealer but they, of course, are more expensive than the Amazon ones.

I didn't use anything other than the flat pad on my floor jack with my 135i. I never had any issues.

But, my G87 has, um, more of it to love, so I just ordered the amazon pads to fill the rectangle on the lift points.

I've been using hockey pucks forever but my currently daily which is lowered requires I jack the front slightly to get enough clearance for the jack/puck in the rear. I see there are prime day deals on the BMW pads so I also pulled the trigger. Since they sit partially into the jack points it'll provide me the extra clearance I need.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but given this setup, is this car not meant to be used with jack stands? How would you use the floor jack to get the car up and then get a jack stand on that same point?

On my F82 I put jack stands at the control arm pickup points.

I use jack stands in the jack points… Not sure why you wouldn’t

I drive my car on to a wood block on one side only to get the front end up slightly

Then I used the front stiffening plate’s center jack point and I lift the car with a low profile floor jack with a hockey puck sandwiched between them…

Then I place jack stands at the front two jack points, also using hockey pucks (My wife is Canadian &#128514

Super easy to change the oil or remove wheels
