What Catback Exhausts Without Cutting?

I've been searching for a true catback exhaust that doesn't involve cutting the midpipe and has a flange that bolts up to the downpipes. The only one I can find is the Valvetronic. Are any other companies making a similar design? Seems silly that companies are making customers cut the midpipe instead of just mating to the stock flange at the downpipes.

If you’re looking for a catback to repalce oem there is no need to cut the oem exhaust, all of the midpipes in the market have the flanges that connect to the downpipes so am curious to know what catback exhaust systems have you seen that require cutting near the downpipe?

Only time you need to cut oem is if you’re adding a midpipe.

AWE exhaust is the first one that comes to mind. Pulled their directions to double check and it says to cut the midpipe and use their clamps, which I found really odd.

In pics the midpipes for all the exhausts I've seen it shows a pipe without flanges. Here's a pic of the Valvetronic and it's the only one I've come across shows flanges on the midpipe that mate up to the downpipes.

Thanks Mike. Do you know if the Milltek also meets up to the downpipes with flanges?

Any Exhaust "catback" that is sold as a downpipe back will not require any cutting.

Just fyi bmw has no issue with vehicle returns that have a proper clamp in the factory cutpoints. This has become a norm for them as they replace axle backs all the time for valve rattles and install M performance exhaust systems.

correct, but some companies are calling their exhaust catbacks when it's not going all the way to the downpipes. instead of referring to the cats in the downpipes, they are referring to the cats in the midpipe

Gotcha. Downpipe back will be the new term.
