M2 PPF Area's Recommended to Cover

Hello. I have just ordered an M2 and I was thinking of areas to cover with PPF. Does anyone have recommendations as to full coverage of the carbon fiber roof, front, hood, front of rear wheel bodywork? Ceramic coating recommended? I know some people do more than others but I am trying to be as cost effective as possible. I plan on keeping the car for 5 or more years. Thank you for your advice.

Do the whole thing if you can find a good price. I did front clip of full front end up to hood. They also did the rocker panels with that large fender flare section and the A pillars for me. I plan to do the rest later but was like half the cost of doing the whole car this way.

This is the package I did, plus entire the carbon fiber roof.

I just purchased a full wrap for my M2... I think it depends on what you want to pay for and where/how you drive. On my past BMWs I only did the front (bumper/hood/mirrors) to prevent rocks chips on my highway commute. This worked really well and is not that expensive.
I went for the full car on the M2 due to the curves it has on the sides - both fenders and rocker panels. Those hips stick out and I don't want to worry about chips on the bottom of the doors or front of the back wheel arches. Since I don't have a good place to DIY wash my car either, the wrap gives me some piece of mind in terms of protecting the rest of the paintwork from getting messy.

I get my ‘25 FPB back today from full-car PPF (including windshield)/tint.

Do the whole car.

These are great replies. What are people looking at price wise to wrap the whole car?

Could you give me an idea of the cost for the full wrap on the M2?

I only got the bumper PPF'd but now regret not also doing the rockers and the rear quarters. This area specifically is getting very chewed up on my car at only 8k miles

It was $3000 with the full roof.

$5900 for full car plus modesta ceramic on top in Greenville, SC.

You also get what you pay for. My detailer worked for something like 8 hours just to wrap the back bumper in a single piece when xpel calls for 3 pieces.

Mine was 2k for almost same outline of this car (not the roof though) - got a good deal because August is very slow for Tint/PPF shops in Vegas and they didn't have anybody booked a couple days from when I inquired. They also agreed to do the rest of the car for about 2k if I choose to later, but they didn't do the most perfect work I've seen...I just can't complain when their quote was at least 1500-4000 less than others in Vegas to do the whole car.

In CA (way more expensive than where I was in NJ/PA) it was $6k full car (cheapest quote was $4500). Front or a track package was $2-$2.5k.

way more in CA and even more in certain parts. if the cost is too low expect a pretty crappy job and worst case damage to your paint. it’s 2500 for the full front and prob 5-6k for the whole car.

i wrapped my defender and it was close to 7000

The guys that did my car are magicians. Near flawless work to the eye. The car looks better than new. They've done some other incredible cars. Chirons, Paganis, Ferraris, McLarens, etc. Very closely linked with some high profile clients and dealers. Probably the best shop in Denver. Of course this is just a run of the mill M2, but I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Same here (except no full roof). Cost for me, with a 10% repeat customer discount, was ~$2,600. Xpel Ultimate.

What's pretty funny & ironic is that Porsche PPF display image shows the doors completely neglected. That's a pretty big no no right off the bat. If you're going to try to do it the correct way right off the bat, don't leave those doors neglected like that. Among other places that aren't PPF'd yet.

I have multiple vehicles with combined hundreds of thousands of miles. I have yet to have a rock chip on the door of any of those vehicles. Nor have I had a rock chip on my rear bumper, so I don't ppf those areas that are highly unlikely to get chipped.
