Exhaust sound after break in
hello everyone,
I’ve heard from a couple of people that the sound of the exhaust will “get better” after the break in period or after few thousands miles/km…is that true? Thanks |

You’re not supposed to rev it past 4.5k RPM during break in, so yes it should sound better since you’ll be able to rev it out after break in.
In reality, I didn’t notice much a difference. One of the updates earlier this year did allowed for some more verbals which was nice |

As TJZ said if you really follow the break in and keep below 4.5K rpm then yes as after break in it should sound “louder” at the higher rpm that you are now exploring post break in.
I had MPE installed early (around 400 miles in on my M240 bought new) and now with about 1600 miles it even sounds “louder” below 4.5K than it did before break in. I dunno. Is that me making things up or hearing new things? Without a decibel meter it is very subjective. That said, to me, my MPE is loud enough. Hope that was somewhat clear. |
