How do these announcements go?

Will they announce the time of the reveal a few days in advance? Are these announcements usually livestreamed? Where can I watch if so? How long after does the configurator usually pop up?

Also, the new overhead angle looks pretty good. Not a fan of the new color, I really think this thing will look pretty aggressive with the right color and wheels on it.

Sunday will be a closed preview at ///M headquaters Nürburgring.
Public launch will probably a midnight launch like the XM on the 12th of October

I believe that's 6pm central time on the 11th for some of us!

They usually leak official pics a day or so before. That said, we need you here. You're part of the OG G87 crew and your presence is required. I think you need to take this day off.

I remember the M2c launch was fairly lackluster and nothing great. The best part was the ending of the embargo so they released pics, vids, some info and automotive journalists (whom have already filmed the car) get to release their content. It won't be them driving the cars, just doing a full walkaround inside out etc. and sharing all the info on questions we've had for months, if not years. Sometimes they don't reveal everything, like technical info. That may come later.

They really slow roll the US configurators, it can take more than a few weeks to show up.

Honestly it should live a live stream but I doubt it.

The M240 was just like the XM, a plethora of info and pics thrown at us all at once on the front of Bimmerpost. I think that's what we'll get.

Haha honestly I plan on leaving exactly at 5 and avoiding my phone until I get home to my iPad and join the circus this place is sure to be. Maybe we should setup a chat room for the OG's.

Yeah I could honestly see it popping up in December. Hopefully November though, for the first slot guys.

BMW did a live stream of the M2 going around the track at the performance center on the official release day for the F87.Maybe they will do the same thing for the G87.

That'd be epic...but I doubt it. Seems like BMW has lost it's way in the marketing department.
