When does 2023 M2 production start ?

Sorry if this is duplicative of another post. My dealer just called me and said that they won't start production build of the M2 until Aug. 2023. I thought that the build started in Dec. and the first models would be available in April. Does anyone know they actual timing?

Agreed as they have the resources at their disposal to provide accurate information, all they have to do is put in a tiny little bit of work.

So if production starts December 8th is that still in line with deliveries starting in April?

If a car is produced on December 8 it could easily be delivered by the first week of January

Plant Mexico will batch build the HEA for all the BMW Centers globally first and foremost. Deliveries will not transpire prior to April’s launch.

Thanks. I appreciate all of your insight. I have been trolling this board for a while and the information that you have been providing has been very helpful.

Does anyone recommend a particular dealer in Dallas? I have used BMW of Dallas for over 20 years, but they are the ones that told me that production would start in Aug 2023.

Maybe thats what they estimate for your slot?

Do you know which slot you have?

Consistent rumors of no first deliveries until someday in April 2023, regardless of production date this Winter.

Right, I agree. Just saying it's easily doable by April

txmav83 I second this. That's who I'm ordering from and they are great to work with. Fairly large dealer too so I imagine you'd get an allocation pretty quick even if you get a low spot on the list. I think I was #4 as of 7/18 and my CA thinks I'll be in the first round they get
