I replied a while back, but my posts all disappeared.

I am being told that same thing. I was looking for the rear spoiler as well. My CA has been checking and has been confirming it's still not available.

Oh well! Thanks for confirming your experience!

Sorry, I replied a while back, but my posts disappeared.

I ended up ordering from Temple.

North told me they were like 16 people deep on the waitlist, and I had already engaged in a conversation with Temple people by the time South got back to me.

I have no clue whether my spec would affect the timeline in either direction, but I DID receive a call from my CA that they received an allocation for my build last Friday.

I don't know what that means exactly for timeline purposes moving forward, but at least it's progress!

I know there are threads on PPF but just bringing it up on this one as we are all in a similar stage of ordering / receiving... who is planning to do a partial or full PPF? Was looking at prices and its insane to me to put $5K-$6K after a $70K purchase

I chose not to as my 9-year old 52K F82 had very few chips when I sold it. Depends on your driving conditions. You need to decide cost/benefit.

I was waivering on whether to do ppf and put if off for a bit. Ended up deciding to go with it and booked an appointment. Sometime between pick up and PPF I got a significant rock chip that cost $950 to fix and repaint. It was jokingly referred to as a bullet hole on these forums. If you plan to keep the car for an extended period I would strongly advocate at least track PPF.

That's all I needed to hear

I would probably think differently if I was back in Colorado. I have now been in Houston 2 years and haven't really gotten any chips on my current car.

Your M2 is looking good, same color as the one I am waiting for - carbon pack?

Ended up finalizing a quote for $3,000 for full front, roof strip, rockers, ceramic coating on whole car, and ceramic tint with an extremely reputable place with a winter discount special. Pretty happy about it. I shopped around for about 5 quotes. Had some as high as $6000-7000 for all of that

Anyone else encounter a "site down for maintenance" message when accessing BMWusa.com/myBMW website today? Not that I expect to see anything different in the production tracker for my car other than "Your car has entered the production queue" but it has been all day with no access.

I have encountered this several times over the past few months. I have not noticed any changes or performance improvements when it comes back up.

Weird. Tried to access this morning and got the same down for maintenance message. It's been 24 hours of being offline.

UPDATE: there must have been some cookies/cache terrorism happening with my browser. I refreshed via F5 and things finally loaded up for me.

That's not a bad deal all in. Glad you were able to shop it some.

Might be similar to what I just experienced.

I got a call from my CA that my car just entered the production queue.

So I logged in to just see it myself, and it didn't come up (blank screen). Tried a different browser, and it worked. Might be my settings blocking something.

Essentially 30 days from "production begins" to "in the garage"??

That's quick!

I'm in the Austin area, so this is a good possible reference for me. My car JUST entered "production begins" today.

I'm in San Antonio and got min through Principle BMW here and mine started assembly on the 9th of Nov. Went in to RFT on the 21st of Nov and has sat there since for the last 3 weeks. Still waiting for a carrier assignment. hoping it changes soon so it gets here before the end of the month.

Yeah it must have been a cache/cookies thing with my browser. I refreshed the page and then it worked. My car is slated for Dec 18th production so I know the status will still be the same but I keep checking anyways.

Yeah, I'm learning that the RFT stage is the biggest wildcard on the timeline!

Here's to hoping it gets on a ship ASAP!

I think it would be crazy NOT to keep checking!

I can't complain though...I had not been waiting all that long compared to some others here, so I'll just wait impatiently...

I hear ya. I was on two different dealers' waiting lists starting last winter up until July when I pulled my name off the lists. Reason being I couldn't sell my previous car and I was having a hard time committing to a $65K car without the chance to test drive one. Fast forward to November I got to test drive the new M2, car got sold, so I put my name back on 1 waiting list at my nearest dealer. As of 2 weeks ago I was still #7 in line. Randomly the other local dealer texted me saying an allocation opened up so I grabbed it. It's funny how things work out.
