I did. It was sitting next to a stock suspension G82 M4 and you could tell a big difference in the stance.

Nice! I did as well. Trying to determine how much more itll need to be lowered and if I will get spacers. But it looks like its sitting at a good height

How long did most of y'all spend in status 160 (final assembly) the last few months? I have been status 160 since 3/21.

I am sending this hoping this will break the curse and it moves to 165

In my city I wouldn’t come down much more as our roads are garbage. I don’t mind the wheels being slightly tucked in the fenders but I have seen some real nice looks with spacers and the M Suspension

Yeah, with all the taxes we pay the roads should all be well paved. Same here even in the bay area. I will eventually get spacers so the wheels are flush with the fenders. ONCE i get the car that is!

I paid a $1k refundable deposit. Another dealership wanted a $1k non refundable deposit so it varies from dealership to dealership.

When you say lead time is around 3 to 4 months do you mean once you submit your allocation to BMW or do you mean waiting for allocation to getting your car.

I am on the waitlist at my local dealership and I am looking at a year wait (4 people in front of me). I was assuming once I get an allocation the wait would then be about 3 months for delivery but some have gotten their car a lot sooner and others a later. 3 to 4 months is not bad.

Mine is looking like it will be just over 3 months since order was placed (ie allocation came up and it was configured in the ordering system). Biggest variables seem to be timing of production being scheduled (mine got bumped up about 3 weeks sooner from expected build date), and then Status 165 - waiting for a boat - Mine took 3.5 weeks to get a boat, others its a week - thats just luck from when it gets spit out of the factory to when the next boat to your area is arriving. Originally I was told my car would arrive in June, but looks like late April depending on how long the lowering springs install holds it up at VPC. On a boat now.

Thanks for the info, it was very helpful. I have to learn what all the different stages are in the production of the car. First time I will be speccing a BMW the way I want it. Fun times ahead.

Once you lock down an allocation it's normally at least a month wait until the production process begins but can be more or less depending on the timing, for example I got a February allocation at the start of January and production didn't happen until 4/22 and my car is hitting the dealer by end of this week, so 3 full months from allocation.

Thanks! This clears things up. I was anticipating a 3 month wait once submitting my desired specs after receitthe allocation.

Ignorant question but I figure I ask because this is new to me. What do they mean when people say "I am a week 21 build" or "I am currently in 160"? What are the different stages of production and what do the numbers mean?

May I ask how long did it take for the order accepted to 112?

3/22 - order submitted AND accepted by BMW AG
3/26 - status 112

Hopefully production starts next week , fingers crossed on no delays due to frozen paint

The day I left the deposit. Dealer is saying potentially not being built until 20 May!!! I got a buyer for my Mustang and I am without my own car. I work from home and use my wife's car but it's not the same.
